My car has E30 M3 5-Lug, did you take that into account? I thought I was looking for something closer to 20-25mm offset with E30 M3 5-lug. If ET35 will fit with little to no spacer and 235/35 17's, that would be awesome!

      • Dinan fixed camber plates - 3°
      • UUC BBK (see attached fitment template)

I want to stay with 16" rims.

Is it possible to run 235s? What offset will allow the widest tire width?

Here's the thing: there are no 16" 235 tires that could fit an E30.

I'll be running filled-and-drilled 16x8 et23 style 5s (from an e38) with 5mm spacers on my 318is, lowered on IE3 springs. I've got 205/50/16 Falken Ziex tires to mount, but really want to go wider to avoid the stretched look, and gain a larger contact patch. Ideally I would go 215/45/16. I don't want to roll my fenders, though! Any thoughts on whether or not this it's possible to run 215/45/16 without rolling fenders? a 40 series tire might work, but i'd like to keep the ride height as high as possible - I already scrape too much!

        Thoughts? Thanks!
No need to roll the fenders with that setup.

I did. They'll fit with a 5mm spacer needed at most. 235/35 doesn't exist, and wouldn't be very fun to mount on a 7.5" if it did.

Booh! In that case, what's offset do you suggest for 225/45/16?

ok so im buying a set of corvette c4 salad shooter rims.
              16x9.5" all around. et38.

i want to run adapter on these. something like 25mm up front and 30 somethng rear.
tire choice im looking for is a real tire, no rubberband, something like 245/50 or 235/40

i know ima need to roll the fenders, but how much?

16x8 +22 would be about ideal. Give or take a few mm on the offset and you're good.

You're not mounting anything more than a stretched 225/40 on those without flares.

You're also not going to get them to fit with a 25mm adaptor, you'd need a 32mm absolute minimum.

Trying to get widest autox tires on my E36M3 front/318ti rear 5 lug swap, ground control coilovers as well.

I'm currently running the BBS Style 5 17x8 et20 with a 215/40-17, quarters mildly flared out and front lips rolled.

Question is, I am being given a set of 17x8 et47 track wheels, can I run 245/40-17 BFG R1 or should I just go for the 235/40-17?

                          Thanks

^ I like the height on 235/40/17's better. If you are going with a track specific tire it will also run quite wide, and a 235 would square off on a 8"

                                hey jay,
I have a late model. Thanks to you my setup fits perfectly. 15x8et20 on 225/50's. Looks super aggressive. The front fits amazing. The rear appears to be sunken from the fender lip. although because its a late model it has that bump in the inner fender. So its only clearing that by mm. My question is, can I bang that bump out a little bit without fucking up my fender on the exterior? I want to run a 10mm spacer out back.
                                thanks man
