    Thanks.
Buying better performing tires will far outweigh the difference in width.

      Probably a 205/45 tire.
25-30mm front spacer right off the bat. Tire size is good.

15mm front and rear, 205/50 tires. It'll look much better too.

.... what would be an optimal tire size?
They should just barely clear the struts with a 205 tire (reader note that E30 M3 suspension geometry is slightly different from 4-lug, this setup wouldn't work on a 4-lugger).

205/55 is optimal without spacers. If you step up to 15mm spacers all around then 225/50 with a rear roll would be nice.

Okay, heres a tough one for ya. Right now im 15x7 et20 with 205/50's. I could not be happier with my fitment, its perfect. Its e36 5 lug stuff. I have a set of e46 16" steelies that I want to get widened and get the exact same fitment. How wide would I get them made? Hopefully you can help, thanks!

I poke a smidge in the front and tuck a smidge in the back.

16x8 +35 all around will be virtually the same (within 2mm). 1" widened on the outside lip.

Does 15x7 et sounds like it should be dead flush on my car. I might have to measure that by hand. This is what the steelies looked like on my car unwidened.

215/45, and no not really flush. I'd suggest stepping up to 16x8.5 +28 and 16x9 +21 for flush with 205/45 tires and rolled arches. Cost varies a lot for steelie widening, wouldn't hurt to shop around ($50-200 per wheel I've seen).

Hopefully not repeating an already answered questioned. I search the thread and didn't see a definite answer.

Looking to order the Tire Rack TR motorsports C1 wheels and some new tires. Debating between a 7in wheel with +25 offset and an 8in wheel with +20. Lowered on Bilstein sports and H&R springs. I'd like to do an 8in wheel with some nice wide tires. They recommend 225/50 but also say it will require fending rolling. Not opposed to that, but don't have the tools or know any one. Or may get the 8's but with a 205/55 tire.

So, I guess my question is. Will a 225/50/15 on an 8in wheel with +20 offset fit without rubbing badly with my suspension and unrolled fenders?

Hey all, im on stock bottle caps w 195/65/14 and I really like the height of my sidewall. Im looking at a set of 15*7.5 et 25, they come with 195/44.
I checked and think those are too narrow and short. Can someone suggest a tire size to look for, so I can pruce out new tires.
Thanks, also no need for stretch I want wide tires. Thanks
I love that people ask stupid questions so I dont have.

Even with the 205/55 it will be very close to rubbing an unrolled fender. I'd still suggest going for it.

                                225/50 with a fender roll. 205/55 otherwise.
