I'm also not 100% on the barrel modification. But in theory, if changing the outer lip is equal to 1/2 of that change in offset, the change to the inner would have to be the same.
Thanks for all your help!! Now I just need to find a place that sells 17" 36 hole lips - probably only Japanese mfgs. Anyone know of a US contact??

The only people who will do it really are Kodiak. Good luck and see you in a few months...

The offset is low and the tire is massively tall. One or the other can work, but both together...doubt it.

            also

            and

            16x9 et 15

on a car with ie3's no spring pads. Id like the wheel as close to the fender as possible. I would also like minimal wheel gap i dont mind running a bigger sidewall. The stretched tire guys cars are low so they can pull that 205 strech look off. I am not as low on ie's so i was wondering what tire guys you recommend so that the wheels dont look empty with huge wheel gap.

First setup: 215/40/17 is possible with a really good fender roll. 205/40/17 is a lot easier to fit, but it'll leave more fender gap.

Second setup: Exact same answer as #1.

Third setup: 215/45/16 for more fender filling. You'll need to roll the rear lips here.

Only thing is he wants to run spacers front and rear considering you need them in the front to clear the struts.

I figured he knew that he needed them on the front. If you want to put any spacer on the rear, getting a tire that isn't really undersized will be an exercise in fender pulling. The 215/45 will be a bitch, I'd go 205/45.

Ok, I read thru the thread and I have one more question. The wheels are 17x7.5 et 33. I got 8mm HR spacers ready to go all around and I've read that the tire should be
215 40 17. My fenders are already rolled. I am also on IE3's. Can I put a wider tire on the rear without the spacer on the back without rubbing?

Yes, you will be able to run a 235/40/17 with that setup. Be careful with those spacers, especially on the front. They are 90% chance going to leave you with not enough of the hub for the wheels to sit on, which will lead to vibrations as well as overly stressed bolts. This is why I never recommend 8mm spacers.

                          Jason,

We need a list of people who make decent spacers for e30s no? I see many spacers that overshoot or miss the mark, being either too large and hitting the brake pads or too small and not covering the whole surface.

I was wondering, I have fairly extensive fender work on all corners, what tire could I run to get some more meat on the ground. I'm running 16x8 et15's front and rear and I'm on eibach race springs. Non coilover eibachs. So what could I fit?

As of now I'm on 205-45s and I want a little more meat.

                            Thanks

The list begins and ends with H&R. Not saying others are necessarily bad, but H&R is tried and true.
