PM nando. I'm not sure how close stock weaves are to the struts (aka space for larger tires) in iX models, you may as well ask the master.

I know 215/40/17 is mentioned a lot but I can't get a load rating of more than 87 and my late model requests 88+. Does anyone have problems with insurance for running tires like this? Is 235/40/17 or 215/45/17 an option without rolling/ pulling fenders (very slight fender work would be OK but I prefer not to.) or rubbing.

      Thanks
215/40/17 is your best option. Never heard of insurance checking tire load ratings.

        Thnx in advance.

p.s I want to avoid buying a dedicated set of winter steelies for the time being.
Nope, the giant sidewall will eat up most of the stretch appearance.

So you have the lower offset E31 M systems then? These will only fit an E30 with very stretched tires.

205/55 on the first and 225/50/15 on the second.

They would need spacers to fit properly, 15mm all around or 15/20mm stagger.

                Thanks in advance guys.
With 195/55 tires stretched on. 205/50 is possible with a small fender roll.

Basically Im sitting on IE Stg3 Springs, Bilstein sports up front, KYB camaros in back, so not exactly slammed.

What tire size do you guys think would look good? Know any body with similar setup? I want to get a good all season tire too but I guess thats a question for a different thread.
205/45/16 is ideal for that setup. No rolling required.

Very nice almost-flush fitment. 205/45 front 225/40 rear, rolled rears.

Thanks for the reply, The thing is Im higher up now since im off the cut springs, not sure if it will look good or not, maybe a meatier tire? Im waiting on Hubcentric rings to come in, Ill post pics of the rims/wheels to get your opinion on whether i should stay on the same tires size or change.

My brother got some 18x8" et35 (front) and 18x9.5" et25 (rear) for his e36.....94' 325i.

What's the best tire size for front/rear? He's pretty low so...rolling fenders isn't an issue. Just no pulling.

                            Jay -

The wheels I'm interested in have a 63.4 centerbore and come with a plastic hubcentric rings installed. Will I need to buy a spacer that has a hubcentric ring that reduces the 63.4" centerbore to the 57.1" centerbore of the E30?

Or can I run them as is (with only the plastic hubcentric ring and no centerbore reducer?)

                            Thanks

He will have to pull the rears if he's that low, just a bit. It's really not a big deal, just use the fender roller for 5 mins more per side. Lots of heat.

He's going to want 20mm spacers on the front. 215/35 all around (no it's not even, but you need the stretch to clear the arches).

Rings and spacers usually play nicely together, no worries.
