On the fence between 16x7 or 8" et28 Alpina repros for my 87 is.

    https://www.iemotorsport.com/product...e-wheel-4x100/

Current suspension is ground control (forget the rates) on Bilstein Sports, 225/50r15 on 15x7 et24 Euroweaves, about 3/4" gap btwn fender lip and top of tire, front and rear. Will I need to run a spacer to clear the strut tube? I have a good set of 205/55r16 Continental DWS tires that I plan on running initially but would ultimately like to run 225/45r16s in the future (if I get the 8s).

**ordered a pair of the wheels in 8" width. 8s require a spacer to clear the strut tube. At quick glance, it appears that a 3-5mm spacer will fit, will update once I figure it out formally.**

Tried uploading pictures but too much of a pain in the ass

    The wheels look awesome

      Hi Everyone,

This is my first post in in this "department"...so not sure if I should be posting on this thread or if I should be making a new one? Anyway, I really need some help with figuring out what tires and spacers I need for my new wheels on my E30. I bought and re-drilled (4x100) some e34 style 5's (15x7). Today, I jacked up my car to see how "bad" the rubbing would be to interior parts of the suspension. It does look like i'm going to need some spacers. However, I would like to know which specific ones because the hub ring on the new style 5's is way bigger than the stock hub ring on my e30 (and I believe bigger than most e30 aftermarket spacers).

What spacers should I get? What size (15mm?) What tires should I purchase? (i'm thinking 205/55/15 but i think these might be too wide and rub). Would 195/55/15 be better?

Thank you all so much for the help! I've uploaded a couple of pics for reference...

Hey guys. I am about to purchase some BBS RS wheels. Will be adding suspension Konis + H&R. Drop will be 1.3” all the way around.
        The front is 16x7.5 ET 19.3 4x100
        The rear is 16x8.5 ET 19.3 4x100
is that going to create a problem?

If they are really from an E34 the hub size is 72.5mm. You can get 72.5mm to 57.1mm hub centric ring adapters. Then just buy regular E30 spacers in any size you want, 5, 10, 15mm etc. I dont know the offset of the E34 wheels you would need that to give you an idea on spacer size.

            Hi,

I’ve been refurbishing a set of BBS RS003 and started to think which tires I should go for.

Wheels: BBS RS003 with 1,5” Lips, ET around 20 (original 25)
Car: Stock 318iS 1990 with eibach springs (-30mm), compared to M-Tech around -15mm

Should 205/55/16 fit without any issues? Any other size suggestions?

            thanks

                Hi Jay,
I am new to the forum so probably I will be providing more details than required!
My car is a1988 E30 M3 Evo2 - as a side note, I would like to know if the Evo makes any difference in wheel and tyre setup.
The current set up is a standard suspension with16” J7.5 ET27 wheels.
I would like to change to -
                Front: 17" J8 ET20 with 235/45/17 tyres
                Back: 17" J9 ET26 with 255/40/17 tyres or narrower
Based on my research and using the site https://www.willtheyfit.com/index.ph...h=9&offset2=26 the biggest concern is the set up at the back and if just rolling the fender will address the fact that rim will be about 20mm wider on the outside and 18mm in the inside.
Appreciate your help as my knowledge is very theoretical and I can't take it to the tyre place as we are in Lockdown in Australia (I am not sure if the police would consider the car mods as essential services).
                Thanks,
                Rob

16x7.5 ET 25 all around on a 9/87 (facelift) with 60/60 lowering. will it fit? if so which tyre dimensions to go for?

                  Thank you in advance.

Should fit no problem, although not sure what wheels so you will need to check the brakes. You could actually space them out a bit with 5mm maybe even 10 to get them more flush. I would go 205/50R16 for the size, it will fit easy.

                      Hey

                      I have a 94 318i touring on yellowspeed coils.
Would I be able to fit 17x8.5 ET17 Oz futuras without completely ruining my fenders? They are originally ET37 but will need 4x100 to 5x112 spacers and the thinnest I can find are 20mm

Also they are on 215/45 tires atm which if I'm able to fit the rims I'm sure the tires are too big so what tire size should I run?

                      Thanks

                        Ok guys.

BBS wheel stamped with the VW logo, look exactly like euro weaves.

                        Stamping says 15x6.5
                        Offset 33

Will these fit without rubbing on my strut if I run a 205 mm tire?

Ideally someone is running this exact setup and can confirm.

Book says a 15x7 wheel needs 25 mm offset. Crunching numbers says a 6.5 inch wheel will need 31 mm. 2mm difference ain't much, but it's not zero.

Looking to change up my tires for more grip. Early model, 5 lug conversion. Front spindle adds 12mm per side. e30 m3 rear hubs are stock offset.
                          Rolled front and rear fenders.

                          Old setup:
                          F: 17x8.5 et 20 215/45 Hankook RS3 (fit with 2.5 degrees camber)
                          R: 17x9 et 30 225/45 Hankook RS3 + 3mm spacer (fit easily, no rubbing)

                          New:
                          F: 17x8.5 et20 235/40 Federal FZ-201S (adding 1 degree of camber for 3.5 total)
                          R: 17x9 et30 235/40 Federl FZ-201S (no spacer)

I've read that 235/40 will fit. Has anyone run this size square? How much fender gap?

UPDATE: 235/40 fit all around with some more fender rolling.

I run both BFG Rival S slicks and Yokohama S Drives sized 235/40/17 on APEX ARC8 flat face wheels which have an et of 10. I run them square on a 1987 early with the liners pulled and the fenders rolled. With no sway in the rear it rubs a touch on the fender with the square edged BFG slicks, with the factory sway and oem sway bushings it has not rubbed yet. The S Drives have not rubbed at all. Fronts look like they should but do not.
Pictured with no sway in rear.

Easy question. There is an overwhelming amount of info on custom wheel / tire set ups. My question is simple. I’m on H&R sports, Bilstien B8, wheels are Beyern Mesh, 17X7, et 27. My front tire size is 215/40/17. What is the widest tire I can mount in the rear? I do not want to use spacers, or modify fenders. Just a nice flush look with no rubbing. Feedback please.
