They're a small business, how much do you really expect them to be able to pressure a billion dollar company? There's really only UPS or FedEx here, kind of DHL. It's not like they have a ton of options.
yep, i don't even get the point of this thread. its effectively bashing FCP and most of complaints are not their fault and other providers would be using the same shippers. Id say its the local delivery people who are the issue if you are have such high "failure" rates

i used FCP alot for international (intercontinental) but sometimes i use ECS as last resort and they give much more options to choose from than FCP and shipping prices are alot better than they used to be.

The best place i use is Schmeidman though not only are prices for genuine parts almost always notably cheaper the shipping is faster and generally cheaper though little in the way of choice.

Your parcels are selected for customs inspections.
They open them, but they don't care to pack them back well.

It's all about customs declarations. When they are not stellar, border agents want to open boxes.
But when boxes are heavy, they want to look anyway.

Can you provide the time the box was in the customs?
Is it 5 minutes or 3 days?

i import restricted electronics and other material time to time. when i get inspected i get notification and often have both border agent and rcmp identification notices attached to the outside of the box. they know exactly who i am.

this was an issue from the shipper. tracking info shows it sat in customs for less than a day.

Electronics are small and insured at the highest rate.

If items are destroyed by rain and missing, FCP can file a claim by calling UPS. It's better to do it as fast as possible.
You as a receiver can't file a claim.
