Well sticking to the original topic...

I would do a complete interior replacement and get shit reupholstered to my liking, a nice suspension setup, swap in a brand new s52 with turbo, new wiring harness, pretty much new everything, mtech 2 kit, ummmm... some nice weaves, and put kryptonite in the car so i can do illegal things and superman can't stop me :D

Depending on my needs and wants at the time I'd either get

        Mint, all-original E30 M3
        Mint, all original E34 M5
        E39 M5
        E46 M3

I'd still have money left over to buy other shit too

EDIT: what about something either brand new or only five years old?? Figure you're gonna put 40 miles a day on it.

Am I the only one who read that? How many of you would rely on any of those cars to be a reliable and fuel efficient daily driver? Buy a new Civic or Accord.

With routine maintenance (regular oil changes, valve adjustments, replacing parts here and there) an E34 M5 Winkelhock 3,6 would be a perfectly...um...fine daily driver.

              You're saying a e30 m3 with a reliable s54 engine inside wouldn't be reliable or fuel efficient? ;)

How are you going to get that for $27K? I'd rather have a Jahre M5.

But with the requirements E46 M3 vert or an M coupe.

Ha, E36's arent that great. Go for the E46 at least, or better.

I personally would have a nice E39 M5 in the garage.

If I had $27k liquid cash I'd really just refresh the S52 cars and the tii.

But I would love to have an E39 M5 daily driver..

Edit: Just remembered that my boss has a restored (by me) '75 Porsche Carrera for sale in the $27k range, so I changed my mind---- I want that!

Heh, a M3 or a C5 make great dailies C5's get great highway cruising mileage (think 27-30 mpg at 70 mph), a viper would be baller, if a bit extreme for a DD, but a rat-rod pickup with efi, hauls all my junk, fast, and with the right gearing, has reasonable mileage. What's not to love?

^^S52 E30 can be done for $5k, will out run the C5, and will get 30 mpg all day. There's your dd, so what would you do with the other $22k? :)

I'd go for something like a WRX STI or an Evo. They're good for fun and DD usage.

2007 Subaru STI, awd DD, Cobb accesport and a few minor mods and it will get decent gas mileage. Otherwise a G35S 4door 6spd like my moms, amazing car for the price.

I would put $22,000 into my IRA and spend the rest on a cheap honda.

in 30 years that $22,000 would probably be worth half a million. ;)
