Goddamnit man, if this thing was auto I would have jumped on it (I’m not good at working the clutch on a manual, but most of the manual BMWs I’ve driven were 4 cylinders so maybe the lack of torque had something to do with it). This car is only 50 miles from me.

I think it was short wheelbase only, so 740i, 730, 728, and at least one of the diesel options, but there were at least some MT E38s outside of the US.

It's a 325is wearing M3 clothes w/ M20 engine. Ad is tagged as Automatic, but it's a manual. Makes no mention of the body mods... Is it worth $16k? At minimum, it's an appropriately-priced crack-free dash - with a car included for free.

It's pretty bad. I'm also fairly certain it was in this very thread before.

                    Edit:

                    Yep, here it is.

And here's the archive of the ebay listing: https://web.archive.org/web/20201004...e/324291383787

Very cool. That was certainly an expensive project, superchargers and Getrag 420s are not cheap. With no intercooling those intake temps have to be pretty spicy, those centrifugal superchargers are no more efficient as compressors than a turbo.

This doesn’t seem like a horrible deal these days? I bet you could get them to bring the price down closer to 2k.

It is a roller but if someone has a spare engine and the frame is rust free it could be a cool little project.

we've gotten close to 3k asking for non-running early m10 cars now. there's no way to sustain that.

This looks like it would be a really cool project.
It's finally come to the point that I have to part ways with this project. I'm losing my shop space and after contemplating other options I have decided to sell this as project in it's current...
