I had full coverage I have already received payment from my insurance and bought the car back from salvage...
I was driving and somebody hit me while I was at a stop light.
No one drives my car except for my e30 buddies if we swap for a short cruise or something...

My bad man, I must have miss read something (I'm pretty fucking tired)... But when my friends bought my car for me (was and I' am still over here) and my mom asked me how much I wanted it coverd for, I said full coverage and I valued it for a little over double what I bought it for because blue book says E30's are pennys. I pay about $400 for 3 months and they've let me drive some pretty mangled up vehicles so I'm not worried about them totaling it.

I will have to buy it back for somewhere around 20% of its actual value plus 100 for the salvage title. I don't know the exact number yet but I think it should be around 500-700. I would sell the whole car for whatever that exact number is if someone was serious about buying.
Why would you sell it for what you pay for salvage instead of just taking the cash ? My 318i was just totaled and Im almost embarrassed to say how much they paid me including me buying it back for $241 which is about what my used Bilstein Sports are worth.

$500-700 is too much for salvage IMHO..and tell them to pay you sales tax on your loss, since you will have to spend it to replace it.

I am selling for a small profit. I realize the car is worth more than what I am asking just in a few parts but I figure that someone might really want an e30 and not have alot of money and this is a perfect car for them or if someone wants to track it... I am grateful for people buying parts and cars from me and am just trying to pass on a good deal to someone else. I hate rust free e30's getting parted. So I figure it may take a week or two to sell and me to get my money back but at least it will get saved and it will stay in the r3v community.

Good Idea about the sales tax I am filing for a counter offer with that I am going to include pictures and reciepts for paint work to the car and similar vehicles that have sold in the last three months. So maybe they will pay out more to me...

I'm just glad that my insurance handled this very fast and have been helpful this far. We will see if they are willing to help any more once I email this counter offer to them. I am asking for 800 more in hopes that they pay out at least half of that...

So are you selling it as a stock car or selling it as is?

You posted up the suspension pieces for sale and have yet to answer me about them.

Sorry for the confusion. I am selling it stock. I need to edit the fs thread. I will be selling the h&r races and drop hats. I am keeping the bilstiens to put on my black convertible I'm selling. I had like 20 messages about the suspension pieces but may have local buyer this weekend...

You're a dumbass. You think you have to total a car for that? Can't you fix anything?

Hey dickface my insurance totaled my car. I am moving out of state. I was selling the car before I moved anyway. If you weren't such a Dumbass ( I think that is the word YOU used ) and could comprehend basic English you would have read that already.

The car is sold to a friend of mine who will fix it. I'm sure I could have fixed it but at the moment I'm closing down a business, cleaning out my 30x60ft garage and fixing my van I just purchased among many other things before I leave around march 1st...

did you take their first offer?

This past summer one of my e30s was hit and the insurance paid out 2100 w/o totaling the car. I hope you got 8k+ for that thing to be totaled.

I took their fist offer but am filing a counter offer. They paid me 2086.90. I am making a case that it is rust free, and a rare car as it was only produced one year and that It had a new paint job and new suspension components etc... I'm gonna post ads and completed ebay listings of 91 318's. then argue that mine had brand new clear coat base coat paint job not cheap maaco job. The paint and labor alone would have cost over 2,100 if I didn't do the work myself.
Any other ideas or things I should bring up????

The price they included was with sales tax, condition adjustment, dmv fees, etc. I wanna know why they think a running driving rust free recently painted e30 is worth 2086.90???

The way to do it is to collect as much information on like cars in a 200-500 mile radius. Use sites like nadaguides to argue the value of the car.

Your buyback price will go up BTW, but you can always strip the car of its goodies before they haul it off.
