If you came here and posted about a tree falling on your E30....out of sheer unluckiness, i'm sure I and everyone else here would show some kind of compassion for your loss....yet you feel a need to sh*t in this thread? Honestly we all love our e30s but there are a million more important things to be worried about in a situation like this. Cars are cars and can be replaced in most cases. Some things can't and take priority over even the mighty e30

It's unfortunate what happened to his house, no denying that, that couldn't be avoided. What happened to his e30 could have been avoided, he could have parked it somewhere higher up. I used to live in an area that can get flooded (but wasn't a flood zone) and people do it all the time even just during bad storms.
I personally know a lot of people that lost their homes recently and a lot of places I grew up right down the street from in seabright and long branch are now gone. That's all really sad but there's a big difference between something that can't be avoided and something that could have. Lots of people on the coast moved their cars days before this got here.

Where could he have parked? There's no real way to predict if the storm hit us head on like it did days before. Not everyone has the luxury of relocating cars to higher ground at a family member's house. Not everyone has a flat driveway that he could've lifted his e30s on. And maybe if he parked it on higher ground, whats not to say an old tree would not fall on it?

I don't live in a flood area nor near a major waterway and kept my cars at home in my garage and thankfully it didn't flood, my house isn't destroyed, but a tree branch smashed the windshield of my DD.

He had bad luck, why chastise? Its too bad your state isn't devastated by this disaster otherwise you'd be singing a different tune i'd bet.

I'd take your stance about the people that lived in coastal areas and refused to evacuate, or worse, went surfing and then are complaining that they haven't seen FEMA or the red cross and are asking to be evacuated on the 2nd/3rd floor of their homes.
