No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.Comment

Being from Eastern Kentucky you hear ALOT of stupid stuff. One of the worst was this guy I went to high school with. He always talked about his dads Audi A4 was wicked fast. He got a neon after school and put an electric supercharger on it with a whole bunch of apex'i and sparco stickers all over it with a body kit. Said it would run with SRT-4s. God I hate neons.2000 Silverado- 4/6 drop, SS 20s, audio stuff

Called out a guy with an SRT-4 that had blast pipes and a horrid BOV at a car meet and said "This does not deserve to be parked in the show". Gave him the thumbs down as he drove away and he just flicked me off.
Probably went home to the SRT forums and posted about how "Haters are his motivators"Comment

"Used Diesel"
I was at a car show recently when a younger guy rolled up in a rusty E30. By "rusty," I mean that he had stripped the paint off the car and sprayed it the day before with hydrogen peroxide to purposefully rust all the sheet metal on the outside of the car, including the wheels. The car was lowered, with a "bozo" pipe sticking up at the back and the tires were pretty seriously stretched. In explaining his design effort, he referenced Stanceworks. Not my thing, and I am honestly not hating on his car or stylistic choices.
However, when asked what he planned to do to keep the finish rusty without allowing it to oxidize further, he said that he read that you can rub "used diesel" on the surface to seal in the rust.
Used diesel.
My friends, used diesel = exhaust.Comment

One of my friends still doesn't understand why the mpg needle is at 0 when we are stopped. He thinks it should be all the way to the left, past 40, because the engine barely uses any fuel while at idle. I keep trying to explain to him that using any fuel to travel 0 miles is 0 mpg. He still doesn't get it.Comment

maybe he meant used diesel oil?
