Half joking, yes. Someone earlier in this thread referenced the e30 as perhaps the best 2-door coupe of its era. While true, the 318 never was. That's like saying the e46 M3 was the last of the great I6s, then turn around and try to sell a 328i for the same price. Consider e30 M3s are selling in the $25,000 range.Comment

Agreed. Also, it should have been kept as close to stock as possible to pull this kind of money. Having said that, check out what Enthusiast Auto is asking for their 318is and neither of them are this nice.
As an aside, I'll have a 47k mile 318is for sale in the next week. All original paint, two owner, Florida car, etc.Comment

Delusion. M3 price for the what isn't even the 2nd most desirable E30... Not even "all original" anymore. Though I wish my paint looked that good. Oh well, mine is faster.Comment

These threads are interesting. Looks like it "sold" for $18,000 and then got re-listed for $17,500 "buy it now price".
If the body and interior are as nice as he claims, then $17,500 may be in the ballpark. However, I agree that had he kept the car original, it would be worth quite a bit more.
By the way, where are sub 40k mile e30 m3's in great condition( all panels with VIN stickers, near perfect original paint and near perfect original interior) selling for this kind of money? If you find one, let me know and I will give you a $5,000 finders fee on the spot.
$5,000 not enough? Ok, I will make it $7,500.
The fact is that e30 M3's in this condition are selling for way above $50k.Comment

Wheels and other mods aren't a big deal on these. It's not like you can't find stock 14" weaves lol."I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj

Peep this 22k vert. http://www.parkplaceltd.com/cars/det...c_~BodyType_/8
I went down to see this car in person today. It was indeed impressive. I still managed to find imperfections, but the originality was there 100% (down to the original Pirelli's, although I doubt you'd wanna drive on em).
Thats what this 318is is missing imho.
