Things Worth Grabbing From The Junkyard

So I'm going to the junkyard tomorrow and there is an e34 touring on the lot. Apparently the tail lights are quite rare. I almost got them last time I went but wasn't sure if they were worth anything.

So that got me thinking. What are some e21/e30/e36/e28/e34 parts worth grabbing if you see them at the junkyard?

Are all e34 throttle cables the same? It's a 1992 525i touring, I'm pretty sure. Will that do?

That should do it. I checked and it's 20 shipped new; unless they give it to you for free basically and you want to send it to me I'm not sure it's worth our time now though.

Fuses (junkyards never seem to charge for them), relays, cam and crank position sensors, power mirror motors, medium case LSDs, good axles. All of these things are worth a lot more than what the junkyard will charge you and are always in demand.

I toss tons of fuses, little screws (and other random connectors), and hose clamps into my tool box whenever I go to the junk yard. It's not like they would charge for all that random crap, but it more than covers the $1-2 entrance fee in what I would spend to buy all that crap new.

..relays. I was told YEARS ago to always grab relays. You figure how much they cost new, and since most relays are used across many different car manufactures..etc.

I like to grab any bulbs, fuses or unique connectors, bolts/screws that I might need. It's always a good idea to have spares, and as McGyver said, more than definitely covers the entrance fee. Them little fuckers are expensive!

Other than that, window switches, regulators, clean dashes, the intake boot (you never know when you might need a spare) headlights and tail lights, and an OBC/Clock.

I'd say any nice e30 trim pieces, crack free dash (no brainier), ECU's, maybe any good condition plastic bumpers for anyone doing the facelift conversion, any easy to access sensors, map light mirror, e36 window switches. Could also grab an afm off any m30 cars for the m20 guys that like to do the afm swap.
