      Exactly what I do, I use the first method at my house, but If I'm at my Dad's we have ramps so I'll drive up on them. I'm not crazy low though, 4" oil pan clearance on Ground Control's.

            What's standard operating procedure for a situation like this? A line of salt around the server? Maybe a urine/cayenne pepper mix?

              my e90 doesn't have a dipstick, its electronic. Should I feed the tube into the dash somewhere?


              I just use car ramps with an intermediate ramp so the bumper doesn't smack them. Just use your noggin to what you have lying about that gives you more space to slide a jack under.

                          Electronic dipstick isn't going to be a problem for kids who concern themselves with ground flat drain plugs, paper thin subframes, and broken oil pans once a month.
