Definitely a nice car with low miles but 200k... Cmon! You could probably buy and import and evo for way less money then that!

Word is the car sold. With E30 M3's being a collector car, "expensive" is a relative term. This one not only has less than 7k miles but it was an official pace car and later sold to David Hobbs. Supposedly, it's the last E30 M3 produced as well so it's an ideal museum piece. Worth $200K? apparently so. There are people who spend half a million on artwork that hangs on the wall. Why not $200k for a piece of automotive history?
"I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj

Sale is pending by the way, 99% sure it sold for the full price. But yes, EAG is crackpipe imo. Apparently they sell the stuff so they must know what they're doing. I should put my M3 through them. Damn.

Bought my 06 Interlagos 6MT car w/ 13k miles on it before EAG got to it. Car went for sale privately and I bought it same day. EAG would have doubled the price.

I didn't give them a chance. It went on the market and I called the guy within the hour and bought it. I have lost quite a few sales from EAG scooping them up first. 05-06 Interlagos ZCP's with 6MT are their bread-n-butter for the e46. They have many people that search the internet every day to scoop them up.

I have a feeling when M3s go for this crazy price, it's gonna cause anyone with a decent 318/325 to think their car should jack up in price too.

If they've put in the effort to make it nice, why shouldn't it? These cars have not been getting any less expensive over the last five years, and that trend doesn't show any signs of letting up anytime soon.

                        Good!
Agreed, nice examples will continue to go up - and they should. Nice examples are fewer and farther between. If you have a nice, e30, e36, or e46, the price is not going down. They are at the age where they took the depreciation hit and now the nice examples are actually on the rise.

Big ol' crack pipe. Bubble market imo. The E30 M3 went from underrated to overrated in about a year. It's no god machine, just a good car from bygone era.

i tend to agree with this. however, the last time we had a big downturn in the economy, specialty vehicles took a nose dive. they probably will again the next time this happens.
