I'd like a design edition touring at some point, but definitely not a black car. The dream was purple car with purple design edition on ronal teddy wheels. That or lagunen green with a green interior. That or a blue car with a blue interior. Maybe a henna, but not a zinno.

For what they cost to buy here, i'd try to fly to europe, road trip the car, then ship it back.

There's a lot of appeal in a car that's already been restored than buying a "pristine" survivor.

Those low mileage clean cars will start to fall apart as you drive them. They're still 30 sum year old.

I'm in the business of restoring/fixing cars and it a long tedious process that takes a lot of time. When a car is getting mechanically restored, reupholstered and painted its a LONG process and hiccups are inevitable.

this car will fetch around what it cost to restore it most likely, but the new owner is going gets to hop in a car that theoretically won't need any of the "big" three; paint, upholstery or engine refresh.

They just get a sweet ride.

I didn't read thru the receipts cuz idk how to read, but that car is nice and it looks like a nut and bolt restoration.

5650 or whatever for PPF is ridiculous. what a stupid thing to do.

That's why I need to learn to paint. (edit) I read through his receipts and he didn't even get the car painted apparently. Did spend $5650 on PPF though.

Saw this, and read it had a "$50k refreshment". Like wtf. You could buy 2-3 pristine E30s for that amount, or an M3. Someone had more money than brains.

I can't believe someone actually bid that up $4,100. they are not going to have a good time with that one.

Someone is spending $5k+ on a rustbucket auto by the time they pay the fees and shipping. Unless the new owner is driving it home. This thread loves to remind us of the dire state of the used car market.
