I can't believe someone actually bid that up $4,100. they are not going to have a good time with that one.

It drives me nuts how few and far between forthcoming sellers are.

That car for example, dude conveniently takes a photo just out of frame of all the driver rear wheel arch rust in pic 42 and there's no other direct photo or mention of it. He obviously knows it's there, you'd see it every time you get into the car.

I was just being a jackass lol

Not trying to scare you, BUT, in the event you haven't dealt with a lifetime midwest car, don't assume anything re: rust. Carfax was frequently updated during winter months in WI which means the ole gal was in the salt.

They'll typically have passenger rear inner wheelwell rust (evap line cover, evap tank mounting points into wheel tub in trunk, evap pipe under rear seat etc), passenger side trans tunnel rust that is hard to see from under the car but reveals itself once you pull carpet, the lower fender rust turns into floor corner box replacement once you start grinding (pic 123), late e30 sedan doors all have crusty door bottoms, rusted license plate light area on tail panel, frame looks like its crusty above the subframe (pic 124 zoom inby swaybar endlink), sunroof cassette, etc all of which is in addition to typical stuff like battery box.

Rear wheel arch rust in front of driver rear wheel is rotten, zoom in on pic 6 & 22 . Seam from driver quarter to tail panel under tail light rusting which explains the bigger rust shown in pic 121.

Quarter panel is even rusty above passenger tail light in pic 7, which also shows battery box crust.

    New fuel tank though....

Pic 140 is also a random e34 vin sticker lol
