He is obviously trying to scare other bidders away.......car is worth more than that in parts......ex: oilpan ....current value 4000 euro!!!

curling AB? Doesn't ring a bell, not sure if you're thinking of the same person or not.

                That's my theory anyways...

....I think that Hartge S38 may still be for sale in Thailand... ;)

We picked up a regular old S38 to slam in to my buddies vert since we already had the H35 motor out of an E28.

I'd love to see this get close to the predicted bids because it helps the value of all the tuner cars (Hartge, Alpina, ACS..etc.)

The last alpina c2.7 I saw recently for sale was a jspec car and sold for over 35k usd
Many e30 alpina in Germany sell for +/-50000euro
Very few Hartge cars ever come to market......& Hartge Germany have not kept any records of what they made, actually kohl automotive made most of the conversions in Germany early on.

The engine in those cars was a m88

The BMW M88 is a straight-6 DOHC petrol engine which was produced from 1978-1989. It is based on the M49 motorsport engine, which was used in the BMW 3.0CSi. The M88 was produced alongside the M30 engine, as the higher performance engine. Wikipedia

Hey did you know that the timing belt on an M20 should be changed every 5 years or 60K miles? :D:D:D

That went above and beyond beating a dead horse and still brought over 10K

LOL I was hoping that the seller would do the right thing but they just danced around it ... the person who won the auction was their first bids and won auction so who knows what their E30 history is... I just didnt want people to think they could fly and drive ... which sucks because thats such a great way to connect with the car... oh well. hopefully thats the last of it

the worst part is that the 88 was a car worth 3-5k... but because of the sellers reputation from some video people wanted to look past it... on the other end you have a very well executed and properly done Harge Tribute vert that needs a few things here and there that was worth 7-10 and it couldnt fetch half of that

By far the weirdest auction I've seen. Ignorant seller rumor spreading comments on changing a 7 year old T-belt should be based on statistics, 15 hour dent removal process....sorry but I say good riddance! Hopefully that car found a better home. I googled the name....seems like the seller was an actress of sorts. Somehow it doesnt matter.
