So he continues on giving me shit, and tells me I'm a waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles if I don't race him. His buddy sitting next to him must have had a least a few brain cells left from hanging out with him, and says to him "did you notice what he's driving?" The guy driving goes "whatever, I'd smoke that european piece of shit", stomps the gas, and takes off, about as fast as his little Escort could go. I just sat there laughing, until the guy behind me honked to tell me that the light had turned green. It still makes me laugh to this day.
    I woulda raced that pos.

rsx with a type-S motor and a greddy turbo charger = fast.
Wrx with fully built STI motor = very fast.
300ZXT FULLY BUILT = very very fast.

they all have stickers and wings and all that jazz, and they all race ON THE TRACK.
if you read the thread you would notice that no one is disputing how quick these cars CAN be, just questioning the mentality of SOME of the drivers

you can make anything fast with enough money.

I don't care how fast these cars that people have listed are, they are not worth the time and generally the driver has about as much sense as a jar of warm mayonaise. It doesn't take a great deal of talent to slam through gears or blow a grip of money on going fast in a straight line - and that is mentality of these people. There are always exceptions to the rule, but they are so few and far between it is almost not worth mentioning.

That lean is the classic postion best for easy smooth and precise high-speed turns. You didnt know that? And the stripes add downforce and hp.

Makes my day off even more less meaningful, but still funny. Its still not the cars, its the owners. And if you race the pos car (or driver), then your in the same league.

fortunately not many ricers where I live. In highschool there were a couple dumbasses who were major ricers. One drove a purple Dodge Neon with a massive fart pipe and had the low profile tires and the interior pieces painted some obnoxious color. I saw him the other day with some rediculous front body kit piece. The other drove a Chevy Cavalier, with basically the same mods. Then he got a body kit for it and it was so stupid it was sad. I gotta dig up some pictures of it. They would sit in the school parking lot at 7:30 in the morning just revving their engines for everybody to here. Oh, there was another guy with a POS Ford Probe with a wing and some ebay wheels too.

As my car is stock, it gets little attention. But it does feel pretty cool when I catch guys driving Corvettes, Porches, and new BMW's checking out my car as they drive by. This one time, a guy driving a brand new S4 leveled with me on the freeway, gave me a thumbs up, and then continued on his way. My best story, though, is one time I was driving along in the passing lane doing about 75mph. I look in my rearview mirror and see a new E60 five series, schwarz, coming up behind pretty quick so I move over to let him pass. I didn't get a good look at the front spoiler, but when he leveled with me, I was like, "Wow, those are some big wheels..." As he passed me by I was finally able to get a look at the rear, and there was the badge: ///M5! Holy shit! I was in shock. It looked so fucking sweet. So I quick change back into the passing lane to chase him down. Before I knew it we were going well over 90mph, and it's like he wasn't even trying. He soon exited off the freeway, but damn, that made my day.

i have my story.. it wasn't a ricer though, it was another BMW.
bought a month ago when i had the new 335i Cabriolet for a review. (got to keep it over a wkend)

There was this traffic stop , bought 5 lanes wide. I was gonna make a left-turn some distance ahead after the stop. And since the only lane that was empty was the one of the extreme right, i decided to use that 400Nm of torque the car provided to get me to the left most lane once the lights turned green. I was driving wif the roof down.

SO... i was slowing down to the stop, an E46 330ci Cabriolet with the top-down as well, he was bout 2lanes away and in front of the stopline too.
He never saw the 335i badge or the twin pipes from my car cos i came from behind

I glanced over and saw his cars had some girls in it... not really bothered, so when the lights turned green, i gave it about 50-70% throttle. (Full throttle in the car will give it wheelspin and engage the traction control)

The 330ci off the line starts to floor his car, and blocks me from goin to the left most lane, so i slow down and go behind him. As soon as he makes the turn, he guns it full throttle, so i pretty much do the same and put my foot down... it wasn't as much as blowing him away, actually, i was a very nice and smooth "glide" as i caught up, overtook, and showed him some Twin Turbo powaar.... it was funny that he kept behind all the way after that... even when i slowed down

My girlfriend spotted a cavalier in Moab, it was totally classic ricer. I'll have to have her dig up the pictures... On the RR window the guy had those black and gold mail box letters spelling out "VTEC" and "TOKIO" (crooked mind you), on the windshield it said "XTREME PERFORMANCE" and had the letters "SI" all over. Horrid looking body kit, Konig "racing" wheels ($116 each at Discount Tire... lol) and various red painted interior pieces... She started snapping pictures in the parking lot of this pizza place as the owner and his girlfriend were walking up. Talk about akward... lol

I never race the jackasses around here. Part of it is that I'm driving a 533i that is by no means fast off the line, but the other is just what so many have said here, it's stupid and pointless. The cool thing is that when I'm in my 533i, nobody fucks with me, including the cops. It's a sleeper and I like it that way!
