Nevermind :p I just read a tech article that reveals the limited increase in power gained from a more complex approach to the hi-r3v-lean issue ;)

I think you mean variable fuel pressure regulator, not fuel pump. I prefer the one IE sells, since it bolts up to the stock fuel rail with no adapters or other BS, and it comes with a gauge.

The only real way to fix all the problems with motronic is to get a standalone and dyno tune it perfectly and it removes the AFM for MUCH better throttle response. Driving my 325is w/ MS...then getting in my eta sucks... AFM and motronic FTL...but great for DDing.

Thanks, mang - I checked out the IE model, $245... looks nice though.

You shouldn't be running that lean anyways. Instead of compensating with more fuel, find the real source of the problem, i.e. a vacuum leak or clogged injectors.

Kinda off the subject but looking at that pic, I couldn't help but to think what would happen in the event that the dyno jammed up and the car went flying through the garage! I guess that must have happened before because the last time I went with my buddy to have his car put on the dyno, they hooked this heavy chain to the tow hook in the back.

That is not a variable rate fuel pump but a variable pressure fuel regulator,
you can find one cheaper on ebay I´m sure.

True. It's on my mind 24/7 - hopefully I'll have it diagnosed soon...

Haha, my car wasn't tethered! All it had was a chok block in front of the DS front wheel... :p
