Give it up McLaren - you got schooled properly. Now go build next years' car (minus the technical documents from Maranello)

McLaren can't file this. FIA keeps tabs on the temp. Their records show that BMW and Williams were between 2-5 degrees on some of the stops. Also one of the Japanese drivers car was 2 degrees off on his first stop but not again. So the FIA decided to investigate.

They later decided to do nothing. This is where McLaren filed an appeal. Unfortunately back in 95 I think this happened before and they got a slap on the wrist and NO POINTS WERE ADJUSTED. So they can't now take away points and effectively GIVE Hamiton the WDC... That would mean Ferrari and BMW and Williams filing appeals and one more bullshit drama this year. The season ended as the ultimate edge of the seat entertainment. If they took the points and Hamilton wins there would be some SERIOUS unrest and I would be willing to bet threats to pull out for a season or two. If you are going to have rules and enforce them you have to do it the same every time... FIA has to stick to this.

*The limit is 10 degrees UNDER ambient Temp*

www.FIA.com if you want to get real picky.

The issue in the past was that teams would chill the fuel in order to fit more into the tank. Parameters were set up to keep fuels in check and this time the temp was too high.

I know it was a BS statement and appeal by Mclaren, but the FIA has made some very odd/bias choices this year so i was not getting too excited until this all blew over, which i expected.

Yah they have... they tried to get Hamilton to win the championship but just fell a bit short :)

Still not over, not getting my hopes up.

          And in typical Alonso fashion:

I am sorry but it is OVER...

There is already precedent. This happened before and they did nothing. They can't now do something. It was 97 degrees outside and 150 on the track. Where did they take the temp from... I bet it was 10 degrees cooler in the shade...

"Ambient Temp" is too loose and can't get anyone caught in it... You could go to any race in the sun and stand in the direct sunlight on the asphalt and then DQ everyone in the race who stores their gas in the shade because they are more than 10 degrees under...

MAYBE if they found coolers or dry ice around the fuel storage but it was simply a mishap, accident and McLaren should seriously just STFU and get over that they got busted cheating and their super rookie just waited till the last 2 races to show he was a rookie.

I dont know if youre getting aggrivated with me, but if you are take a step back and cool off.

Im a Ferrari fan through and through and could not be more thrilled that Kimi won the championship. Alonso is an asshole and deserves to be outed by Mclaren, i still think he will, and Hamilton is not the next Schuie, winning the title would only fuel the fire of comments such as that.

Part of that post is to say that Mclaren seems to have a case. I was mistaken and the fuel tested in the rig with 2 and 4 degrees C under the required temp. That is illegal, they have grounds to argue and quite frankly have nothing to lose. It may take weeks but it is doubtful that the FIA will side with Mclaren after all the issues they have had this year.

The other part is to illustrate just how disenchanted Alonso is with his hopes to stick around at Mclaren.

srsly. what an ijit. The whole effing community has been on his balls since the start of the season. Me? I think he's uppity.
Peter Windsor from Speed can't even talk to him on the grid like everyone else. "Lots of concentration to be done" Bet you didn't concentrate on getting second in the championship, huh?

lol, I agree about his un-attainability before races...gotta concentrate. Of course, Kimi is the same way, he rarely talks with anyone on the grid before a race.

I'm still on the fence about Hamilton, he is pretty good and I think in the future he will win championships. He reminds me of Michael Schumacher in alot of ways. Mostly with the attitude he has about his own driving, and he also respects the other drivers which is rare in F1.

Still, I'm a Kimi fan so last sunday was a very special day for me.

This has been in my living room since the start of the year and it's not coming down anytime soon!

word, its Hamiltons first season and hes pretty damn young. you have to admit he does have talent, and with time and more practice...he can only get better if he is willing to put forth the required effort.
