    Hardest Job

I would say the Rear subframe bushings and trailing arm bushing. When it's 98 degrees out side an you have the car on jack stands by yourself you will be there a while.

Subframe and TA bushings arent that bad when you have a lift, air tools, special press tools to push out the bushings :) I'm finishing up a set today actually.

I did, and our main problem was that in a group of 3 people, all of us wanted to do it in our own separate way. I wanted to just drop the entire rear end, someone wanted to just drop the subframe, doing the T/A bushings while the T/A sits suspended on the car, and the other one wouldnt stop cursing at the goddamn brake lines. :p

Out of our 5 hours working, a solid 2 were just looking and arguing.

Removing Rusted e-brake cables in my last e30. 9hour job, ~5 with a dremel and a hammer. BY FAR THE WORSE TIME i've had with an e30 **** what a nightmare that was

rust makes everything 27x worse...this is considering i've done subframe/TA bushings completely on own (that wasnt so bad actually ~ 6hours/2day) but there was no rust and everything just slide out like a charm. also done diff swap suspension cab and dropped and s52 in last week amongst other presumed harder tasks...go figure!

toughest. as in requiring lots of time, effort strength and patience i would have to crown Subframe&TA.bushings king
              No more e30s for me.

I would say the brake lines over the subframe is the worst job, especially if your not dropping the subframe

^Another thing I was bitching at myself for not doing. Once I saw the lines just chilling there, I was like "damn it... I could've done that now"

Definetly took me about a week working on and off. More off than on since everytime I got under the car I thought about kicking the jack stands out and putting me out of my misery. After that the tank swap seemed like changing my oil.

Diff swap solo would be second. Not hard just a huge pain when trying to allign the new diff by yourself sitting on a jack. I think that any work you have to preform solo turns into a nightmare.

My next two jobs were going to be subframe/TA bushings and my dash swap. Im pretty excited that they are probably the 2 hardest jobs mentioned ;)

After aluminum and steel have been pressed together for 20 years, it's nearly impossible to separate that aluminum bushing from the steel bolt. I worked on each bushing for at least 45 minutes with an air hammer and FINALLY got it out. Big big job. I will never underestimate subframe bushings on a 20 year old car again.
that's because you live in the rust belt :p

For sure... taking those off was a major PITA. Without Jordan's tools, that would have taken me a very, very long time.

I had a hard time with the dash. Don't know why. But the heater core and valve were pretty easy IMO. I also had a hard time with motor mounts - but probably because I have all the wrong tools.

taking the intake manifold off to get to the fuel injectors, only to later realize I could have just taken the valve cover off instead.
