well... it does, but not nearly as much as a cone, the side that's drilled is away from the engine... blah blah, you all know, of course it does, but not even close to as much... you know what i meant

I don't think it would make any difference which side is drilled. It's really hot everywhere under the hood, esp in FL.

Yeah, probably lets hot in air, but I have a spare airbox, and I just wanted to try this. She drilled it like Robert's picture, but I had her use a bigger bit.

i did it too, but I too used a bigger bit, it's good to try on a spare, I liked it, sounds good, didnt notice any loss in power, but then again, it would be hard to notice on the ass dyno.

She took the airbox out, drilled and dremeled it, installed the new filter and reinstalled the box, then she took out the center console and stuff today, she's been a big help.

                    Day 9:

Robby (boom-monkey) come over this morning and we installed the parking brake assembly, the rear SS brake lines, the 4.10 LSD, and the drive axels. Then we unbolted the tranny, and got a lot done... we just got to the point where all we have to take off is the torque converter bolts and we called it a night. Tomorrow, hopefully the 5 speed tranny will be installed. Erick (rwdrift) showed up later in the day and is going to spend the night here and help us more in the morning.

                              Day 10:

Lots of progress today. We got the tranny, torque converter, starter, and flywheel off the car. BIG thanks to Robby, Erick, and Steph for this, I couldn't have done it without them.

We prepped the new tranny, new input seal, clutch pivot fork and spring, guibo, Redline MTL, etc. I couldn't put the new tranny output seal on because I don't have that large, thin wall, deep socket needed to get it off. It wasn't leaky so it should be fine.

Put the new CSB on the driveshaft. I destroyed the old dust covers but I figure the exhaust heatshield completely covers and protects the CSB so I am not worried about that getting dirty either.
