My question has to do with running your bilsteins and ie springs with e90 drop hats. Do you find yourself bottoming out with that set up? I heard that running e90 drop hats with sport shock/spring set up results in bottoming out because of the less travel you have in the sport shocks, unless you had them revalved, of course.
the billys have the stock sport valves. i never had them bottom out on me, but i dont have the bumpstops on them. they barely lower the car 1/3 of an inch or so iirc, so i wouldnt worry about it.

took a trip to the drag strip, best time was 12.71 at 116.51 on 12psi. broke an axle on my second pass shifting into second gear, my first time lol! thankfully i had a spare and swapped it and made more passes. i was taking it easy on the launch and first shift, so i had poor 60fts. need more practice, and a better rear setup (mcoupe?), and ill be back making more passes on higher boost.

getting towed off after axle failure lol:

This M20 is epic. Despite the meaty rear wheels, the car looks pretty sleeper. I am in love >:D

i've done a 2.15 on a stock IS. i wasnt red line clutch dropping it either, just getting on it at 3k. but i feel your pain, e30s are not that great for drag racing. launching is a real pain.

you definitely need a stronger rear end and bigger tires. 440whp in an e30 should be good for low 11s/high 10s.

yea its not as straightforward as it seems lol. 14-15psi and above i would spin the tires launching and when i shift into second on the drag radials. first time racing this car, just have some finetuning to do.

im doing some research into a 5 lug mcoupe swap, and some fatter tires. plan b is selling this car, i have plans for a crazy all out e30 that i really want to build.
