Just a small update, got the matching silk dome tweeter for the right side, what a score! Sounds better too, not as bight as the mylar, a little more mellow, easier to listen to. Now I listen with the EQ flat instead of before with just stock E30 non premium I'd have treble +3. Very happy with the E34 upgrade and would definitely recommend it!

Small update. Muffler bracket broke off from frame.


Muffler dragged for a mile before I could pull over to remove it.


There's only one donut holding it up, the front hanger isn't attached to anything.


The muffler shop charged me 60$ to weld up a bracket, $75 would have given me an new front bracket too but I'm so broke right now.


Sounded friggin sexy and loud without, but boy was I "that asshole" for a few days. I drove around at 10/10 everywhere! Backfires and overrun and all.



Also, the oil pan is leaking. It's barely a few drops, and I only had a few minutes to check it out while the muffler guys welded on a new tab, so I'll look in to it later. I just gooped them up and slapped them in so I bet it's just gonna weep until the next owner pulls the motor and does it right.

i got no pipes after the rear axle. its awesome - so many amazing backfires and pops on downshift.

Yeah, where that wrench is hanging was all that was holding the muffler on. I took it off for a few days and drove like a madman everywhere (except my own neighborhood) it was so great!

Found the leak, it's coming from the left tail light. How thick is a new seal? The old one is crusty and flattened out. I could just buy some foam rubber and fix it for a few bucks instead of $15 each.

While poking around up front I found a broken wire for the AC pressure switch. Are those hard to find? If I replace the switch do I have to refill the system or is it behind a schrader valve?
