Hey thanks, you too! I was checking out your thread last night, it looks like it's coming along nicely.
Is there a thread about the meet up? I've never been to a meet so we'll see. It also depends if my buddy needs my help this weekend. Help drinking and fishing! Maybe I'll bring the gear to treasure island.

Here's the R3V thread http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=347838
Here's the fb page: https://www.facebook.com/events/830295893693742/
According to the fb page there's 400 going. And Cars and coffee SF is having their meet on the other side of the island with 200 people... That's potential for 600+- cars. Not something I'm going to miss out on haha. It could be a huge success, or a pretty funny scramble.

Did some more hacking on the cup holders. Pretty rough, I know!
The 5 minute plastic epoxy is pretty awesome, and it's clear! The pneumatic jigsaw is pretty great too, it made short work of the plastic. The Fry's gift card is just a stirring / spreading tool for glue and bondo. Go grab a stack!
After all the grinding to make it fit, and using spacers to keep it all aligned and at the right height.
Sploogey mess. Just sticking it together to make it strong enough to handle without falling apart. This glue is strong as fuuuuuuuu.
Eeeek kinda went too fast with the jigsaw.

Put it in the car and aligned it and took a measurement to align it on the table while gluing.
Took a depth measurement for the inserts. I've made one but it takes a while to shrink it so it's a nice fit.
Grinded the center part and started gluing it in.
Ran out of glue and went to get more. Are bmw drivers just totall asshats or what?!
With tons of glue and some filler pieces of plastic I started closing up the gaping holes.
Going to get another tube of spunk and glue the inside corners then start body working the outside. I think I'll paint it with the same plastic bumper paint I used before, or maybe a hammered finish. I was looking at the stone textured that I could cover with rustoleum's version of plastidip. That would be sorta soft touch but textured. We'll see.
Oh, and I noticed that the rear window defogger is working on all lines except the second from the top. Haven't looked for the break yet.Last edited by Navarone; 03-06-2015, 01:09 AM.

Did an oil change and checked the spark plugs.
All four had the same coloration, and correct gap, only this one right under the oil filler cap had oil on the threads. They're autolite platinum and I have some kinda fireball or tnt or something high power coil with Taylor wires. Number 2 boot wasn't seated all the way, the little screw terminal on the spark plug wasn't on, just stuck in the boot. No signs on that plug that it wasn't working anyway :/
This is just so I'll know when I did my oil change. Easier than writing it down and losing it. My grandpa always had a notebook with every single thing he did for maintenance... That's overkill for me maybe. I did reset the service indicator, so there's that?

Getting this grommet in was such a huge pain in the ass. I ended up pulling the cable through then putting the grommet on and pushing it in backwards.
Got a little rough with it, but it's still serviceable.
Can you spot what's wrong?!
