I’m stupid and acquired a Mini Cooper S

2006 Slicktop, Supercharged and a 6 speed with a newish clutch. No service history, plenty of problems, lowered, dirty... but hey it’s got stickers.

Man, I'd love one of these. Maybe someday when I get tired of DD'ing an e30 and need something a bit newer.

I still think these are really cool little cars. So fun to drive, even if they are FWD.

Yeah its a fun car, but its a pain to work on....

When the time comes to do a clutch, its gonna look like the car is being parted out

When was the last supercharger oil change? Keep stock, autocross because it will be fun there, and hold onto your butt when it's time to replace something because those things are not fun to work on.

Hmm... less reliable, unbelievably difficult to work on in comparison... more expensive to maintain... I'd just rebuild the engine and fix up the E30 when you feel something newer is needed.

Or get an E46 at least that's easier to work on.

Doing a 100,000 mile service (supercharger oil, water pump, thermostat, etc) on it just in case.

R53 can be made into a great driver's car.

That’s more common on second generation engine. The Tritec doesn’t usually suffer the death rattle.
