i got the car up and running and have been driving it around for a few...I HAVE FALLEN IN LOVE WITH THESE CARS!!!!!!! the power is not too shabby for what it is, the ride is great, and they feel so much smaller than the e34....very nimble.

now i dont know if i should break the clutch in tonight and take it to the auto cross tommorow or just stick to the 540 and wait until next month when i put the suspension on? the stock IS springs seem too soft

got her running and have been driving her around for the past 3 days....this car is the shit! e30's rule my life now...im stunned at the paint progress, and i have only done the first phase of paint resto! i left the centers off the wheels during the cleaning and forgot to put them back on..i was too excited. im going to get the bumpers resprayed and keep the 2 tone black...IS lip is on order, and i didnt finish the hood yet if you look close..what a damn difference

Nice buy! I got my 87 325is in not as good, but still pretty damn nice condition for $500 as well. There's something about a great deal that makes a car so much more enjoyable to drive :)

thanks guys! yea having bought this car for next to nothing gives me a ton of cash to play with. im thinking 3k will get me to how i want it. so far im into it @ $975 lmfao...thats excluding ttt and dealer fees

after some 4-5hrs of searching, ive decided to buy a new set of vogtland springs. the stock shocks are still in perfect shape so im going to run them until they blow out and i'll drop the coin on some koni's. i went with the vogt's for 3 reasons,

-price $197.50 shipped
-spring rates
-drop

honestly, i have not heared one bad thing about these springs and they are very popular in the e34 crowd. most places that sell them can't hold onto these for long, they fly off the shelf and then go on galactic backorder. (e34) if i didnt have stock m-tech stuff on the e34 i would have bought these also.

i should have the IS lip and springs mid next week so i'll post some pics when installed, the paint should be complete by then too....BIG progress week ahead. also i may tint the windows but am undecided......i want the car to remain stock looking but there is someting that hits my heart on a red/black color combo

BTW does anyone know a site i can purchase new bbs center stickers for the stock wheels? if not i'll replace them with oem bmw ones
