Bought an extra set of wheels for the car, Rondell 0063
    17x8.5" et 13

shabby, with ugly center caps and useless old tires

Looks a little better after cleaning

Then I took the tires off and took them all to Wheel repair shop who inspected and repaired them.

I put new tires on them, new steel valves and center caps.

Looks pretty nice, good to have an extra set of wheels for the car.

I got a rock in the windshield last summer, so I took the car to BMW Dealer for a windshield replacement.

I got an original BMW windshield of course and blue tinted on top (the one that was in before was not tinted on top)

Took few pictures of the car on the new wheels before I put it in the garage

Winter is coming, so I put the car in the garage.

I think it’s time for a little update. The car got some paint correction and waxing.

It was waxed with DoDo Juice after the polishing.

We also gave the engine bay a quick wipe-down.

The weather was so nice that I had to drive it out and snap some photos after the polish.

I bought new transmission mounts and removed the polyurethane gearbox mounts. the vibration at idle decreased dramatically.

Since I already have a Racing Dynamics steering wheel, pedals, etc., I had to get a matching gear knob. This is a new knob that’s actually a replica. Unfortunately, I can’t find an original RD gear knob anywhere, but this is a pretty good replica, so it’ll have to do until I find a genuine one someday.

Then it’s the small details. The rear ashtray has always been broken in my car.
I got an unbroken ashtray for free, but its lid spring was bad. So I swapped the lid and spring from my broken one onto the one I got.

        It’s the small things!

Then there’s the rear seat — incredibly ugly… light gray, no headrests, and it doesn’t match anything else in the interior.

I haven’t gotten a different rear seat yet, but I did get very dry and moldy leather headrests along with the brackets for them. I decided to clean them up and install them in the seat, even though they might not perfectly match the gray fabric. The plan is to have the rear seat upholstered in black leather later on.

        Headrest brackets.

Installed. I’ll probably have the rear seat reupholstered in black leather next autumn — we’ll see.

And now for the icing on the cake!
I imported a set of wheels I’ve wanted for a long time: Racing Dynamics RGP 17" staggered, 17x8.5 and 17x9.5.

They’re in great condition, but the previous owner painted them black — which is awful — but we’ll fix that before they go on the car.

        A few weeks later:

I’m very happy with how they turned out. The next step is to buy tires and mount them.

Some people may have noticed that I’m a big Racing Dynamics fan. I found this old catalog in Indonesia — a 144-page catalog covering E30/E36/E34/E31 and more. Of course I had to own it, so I paid a stupid amount of money for it

The dream is to find an E30 Racing Dynamics body kit — then the M-Tech 2 kit currently on the car will have to go.

What a great thread. Just read it from beginning to end and your car has gone through quite the evolution. I am looking forward to the wheels going on and seeing what other Racing Dynamics bits you end up with on there.
