Oh man I make bad decisions...Cirrusly...

Well I'm back! Picked up two e30s for $800. One pictured is a 88 Cirrus sedan with no interior and rust....but it's a sedan and in this market beggars can't be choosers. I also got a non-rolling white coupe shell with this car, yet to pick it up. Anywho....pics!

The bad news is the rust, but it's not totally gone and I've seen way worse get repaired....Now do I do the engine swap work an then do the rust? Or get bogged down in bullshit body work and lose interest in the car in a month?

And no, the Sequoia isn't sagged out coz I don't know how to load a trailer....the rear air suspension took a shit and I had to tow the thing 30 miles on the bumpstops. Hopefully new air springs will be here today......and no, I have no interest in coil spring conversions, I like the rear air suspension for it's functionality.

    ......and the bad part....

There is more in the rear, just haven't cleaned the trunk out to see it all and get pics. It'll be a fun one to repair that's for sure.

Also anyone know the loophole to get a title? I have documentation where the previous PO tried to from Connecticut but it was sent back with "CT doesn't title old ass cars" written on it....so any help there would be cool before I contact a title agency and go thru that bullshit.

Get it running and send it. Let the next person worry about the rust. Plus, you may find another shell down the road and swap all the good parts over.

I'm tempted to do that. OFC I'm not going to sell the thing once it's swapped. I am the terminal owner of my cars lol. I just don't want to install all the carpet and interior then have to take it all back out to fix the rust.

Anyone used the panels from the e30 place in Finland? Looks like CA Tuned is going to be selling them stateside...

          Welcome Back!

Get it running, then just don't install the carpet for 6 years like I did with my E30 until I fixed all the rust. 💀

The other way sucks, and stalls the project (like my E28 right now)

Yeah I'll probably do it that way. I hate delayed gratification. The only thing installed on the interior is the HVAC box and steering column lol.

Big time shell. Not even a roller. Basically the only reason I'm taking it is it's got possibly good sheet metal. I'll have to get creative to drag it up onto the trailer lol. Plus too it's a coupe. Coupes are parts cars.

Any rust on it? I think I'd rather swap every nut and bolt than deal with rust.

Not sure. I need to pick it up still, but the suspension woes on my Sequoia are hindering that. It's stacked full of parts on the inside tho. I'm really set on having a sedan...miss my old one and have the kids, etc, just makes more sense. We'll see tho.

OH also....what's the current 5 lug swap setup? I want to run my RKs on this car....and will need to to compliment the drivetrain, yet to be revealed.

I have Ti rear trailing arms, etc....

it's going to be a rover 4.0 with fresh liners.

I've been waiting to see this since your instagram post.
Not sure what Luther is up to offloading all this stuff, but I'll take a build thread out of it.
