What springs rates are you running? I heard that once you get to a certain spring rate the rear sway is not necessary. Have you experienced this at all?

Love seeing the progress as usual.

I'm at 450F/600R right now with 22/19 UUC sways. I've got the rear sway on full soft. Haven't noticed any tail-happiness yet, but I've got -3 rear camber and -2 in the front right now, so that's canceling some of it out (as well as the rear wheel rate being a tad soft compared to the front). When I do the new alignment it'll be a lot more oversteer-prone.

Ahh okay cool. Im at 525/700 and I don't give more than 25% throttle going anywhere but completely straight if its even the slight bit wet outside. It wants to rotate way too easily.

What durometer subframe/diff bushings did you get?

75D AKGs, they raise the subframe up 12mm for a better toe curve.

That's funny, when it's wet is exactly when I give lots of throttle around corners. ;)

Are those sub frame bushings installed the right way? I could be wrong, just looking out.

In order to get the bushing's leftover metal ring out of the diff, I threaded a hack saw through it, cut it and pried it up

Brush out the inner race--it's a little scored up from the hack saw but it'll do fine

Poly bushings go in nice and easy

Oh and because I know some of you get a kick out of it, here's my workspace for tonight ;)

All brake lines are 14s on one side and 11s on the other. Pbblaster is your friend, especially on these

                  That's better :)

Poly does some weird stuff when you take a dremel to it

                  Everything all bolted up

                  Lifting it up

Fit in place! Done for tonight. Will pick up again tomorrow.

Side note: the bottoms of the subframe bushings fall out, so they're not installed in any of the pictures. I put 'em in when I bolted everything up.

Whenever I see or somebody mentions an m50 swap, I immediately think "wheelhop" in my head, no lie.
M50 swaps are associated with your name in my head for the past year.

lulz. My heart isn't really with M50s to be perfectly honest, but it was the right swap to do at the time. I'm still having fun with it for the time being.

Nice work! I need to do the bushings and lines in the turbo car soon.

Curious, why did you take apart your brakes/ebrake?

To unhook the ebrake cables. I didn't want to deal with routing them through the chassis while I had the subframe in the air, there's already enough to worry about. So I just disconnected em at the ebrake. I'd done it before, pretty easy.

Just curious but does raising the subframe make it any harder to adjust the trailing arm eccentrics?
