Brake callipers use a 5x120 stud pattern. Not 100% on the centre bore size for the rotors, but that will be easy enough to overcome as I know of 3 blokes who’ve used these brakes on E36s with ease. These (light) calipers bolt straight up to E36 M3 hubs and use a 345mm disc which should mean its a nice, cheap brake upgrade that uses all ADR-approved parts (a lot of aftermarket calipers are not legal to use on-road in Australia due to not having dust boots or ADR certification). I will also be taking rubber lines off to have custom braided lines made up.

Drop bears are commonly said to be unusually large, vicious, carnivorous koalas that inhabit treetops and attack their prey by dropping onto their heads from above.A suggestion is to walk through the bush carrying a screwdriver raised above one's head in the hope of impaling the attacking drop bear.

Miasma, the trick is to walk around with a photo of David Caruso stuck to your head. Nothing would want to go near that douchebag, not even homicidal sacks of fur, teeth and pure rage...

The 345mm rotor I was looking at was apparently stock VE SS-V, BUT, I borrowed one to do a dummy fit together and it's got no hope in hell of fitting under a 17" wheel, which I need for road legality. I really want M-Systems but finding them in Oz seems to be almost impossible (and if you do, waffleswaffleswaffleswaffless want $3k for rims only!), so I dunno what 17 I'll put on it.
Under advice from the bloke I bought the calipers off, I'm now looking into using a 315mm E46 330i brake rotor - which will fit under a 17 - and to make it all work and give the engineer and RTA big happy smiles, I'm going need a set of billet brackets made up to re-mount the caliper slightly and ensure it has sufficient bite on the rotor. Luckily, Caliper Dude is investigating having a set of brackets made which would suit this application down to a tee.
If there is interest in these brackets, I would be happy to see if we could get a unit price? Dunno how many ANZAC R3v'ers would need/want them though? At least it'd be an easy, legal BBK!

I guess if I need bigger brakes for the E30 I can just use the 330s'.
Edit, I could do that with the E36 too.
It's the twin piston calipers that are of more interest.
I'll take some measurements and some decent pics of the caliper when I head back out there tonight. I was going to take my camera down last night but I had to run screaming from the house as I have a major issue with the TV my girlfriend watches. Between nearly seeing a split second of Desperate Housewives on Monday night and catching the first line of Greys Anatomy last night, I think i'll be in therapy for a fucking long time!
Lucky my therapy is sold in 345ml glass bottles x 24 and goes by the name of "Little Creatures Bright Ale". I was so intent on not returning to the house while those completely retarded shows were on that I started wire-wheeling the paint off the entire diff cradle so I can get started with my Nissan R200 diff conversion. And I hate wire-wheeling. Like Lindsay Lohan hates being sober. Or wearing underwear.

No but I do it anyway because it's sterile and I like the taste!
BMW lsds are expensive to get out here ($1k vs $300 for the Nissan diff with shafts) and it won't cop the flogging I'm going to give it. Neesahn diff will handle the projected 500rwhp I'm shooting for. I'm going to treat it like a red-headed step-child, plus the availability to get a good plated 1.5 or 2way centre and heaps of different ratios are all added bonuses.
Heaps of different ratios, from 2.x up to 5.x too

the nissan guys here in the states would be ridiculously pissed at all the final-drive ratios you have available. it is near-impossible to find anything lower for the r200 than what came in the s13/s14 cars, and the stock ratio lets you bounce off the speed limiter in 4th gear... with the truck motor we got. i always dreamed of finding a 4.64LSD.
anyway, good show man, keep it up.past:

Shipping is way cheaper from Japan, too, for us so rather than shipping an M5 or 7 series diff from Europe or the US it makes sense to Frankenstein a diff conversion.
The range of ratios has made me consider ditching the T56 gearbox and maybe running a Tremec TKO 5MT to save some weight and make it a bit easier to fit. I dont need 6 gears as it's not going to be used for daily driving or holidays. Why have that big heavy gearbox if I'm not going to make full use of it? But then, will it stand up to punishment I will dish out?Pork Hunt Motorsport
