Been working on my Rx-7 BBK. Ground off the Mazda and stripped em of their paint and sandblasted em for prep for powdercoating.

Gonna talk to a powdercoater today.
Went to CaniBeat meet in Fremont, was pretty cool. Different cars than I like but cool none the less. Here's a pic my friend shot with my camera on the way to the meet in the small caravan we had.

Sorry, But Black is the best color on a car. So DEEEEP

Got my DIYMS2PNP in the mail! I hope I've done everything correctly. I'm pretty much done with the main board...just gotta do the jumpers and merge all of em together and put it in the case.

Also I screwed up my splitter...I scraped out of a driveway pretty bad and kept driving and hopped on the freeway. Before I knew it I could hear some scraping. My lip had lost like 4 screws so the driver side of the splitter was flapping down from the wind and scraping the ground at 65+mph for like a mile before I realized it was my car and pulled over. By that time, the damage had been done. Guess I should change speedbumps to driveways, This sticker belongs on my headers (They hit speed bumps)

I also got my wideband installed...have a huge vacuum leak still. My car idles at 18-19:1 without the o2 sensor. fluctuates in the 15-16s when the o2 is warmed up and helping out.

Can't wait to switch to Megasquirt, Miller WAR Chip is fine, its just slow and can only do what Motronic can do, and not that big of a fan of motronic.
Heres my progress on the assembly of the MS2.

It's not too difficult if you can solder, just time consuming, and gotta pay close attention to details.

Also washed and polished the car with an orbital my Dad gave me. I only spent like 30 mins to do the whole car, and didnt wax or clay. I plan to clay my whole car and re polish and wax. It's been a while since it got a whole detail.

So, I ordered DIYPNP MS2 today. Plan to solder it up, got everything I need to install except a aluminum pipe to weld the bung for the IAT sensor.
Excited to start tuning with MS and get my car running proper and learn it so I can tune myself for turbo.
Also, in prep for MS, and to help me try to tune on the Miller WAR Chip in the mean time, Ive been working on a gauge pod ashtray delete to house my AFR gauge. The empty hole will either get Oil Pressure or Boost. and another gauge will go in the ac vent to the left of the steering wheel.
Also mounted my sub's bass knob into the hole of the e46 center console.

GREAT UPDATE! For me at least. I fixed my stupid idle issue...it ended up being my TB was out of wack. was open too far at "closed throttle". Which caused the TPS to only "Sometimes" engage because it was on the border of being correctly adjusted. but was maxed out.
SO now I'm idling a steady 800ish. NO CEL's, so happy.
Also installed a KA motors intake. And had a extra bung welded on my exhaust for my MTX-L then im gonna start doing some street tuning to see what I can smooth out.

And one on the lift during bung install. My tires only a 205, but it sure looks meaty at this angle :) haha. It is a s.drive, I know they run wide...maybe thats why haha.

I dont notice any performance gain on them, atleast for street driving, but the NVH is noticeable....I dunno if I'm gonna keep these...
But my car is back on the road. Also took the Camaro out of the garage from a long slumber....went and beat on it for a while haha, then my dad said he'll "Show me how its done", LOL @ his face when the wheels begin to hop.

The condor mounts rock. I have the motor, tranny, and RTABs in mine, and they're perfect. They don't even bother me for DD.Leave a comment:

Got me a KA Motors CAI,

Ordered some m3 fire wall covers as well to clean up the engine bay some.

Comparison between front E30 brakes and rx-7 4 piston calipers.

And my trans/engine mounts came in! Won't be ripping up motor mounts anymore with these i hope.

Ordered new sway bar bushings front and rear because mine look to be original lol.
And blasted the motor mount heat shields and painted em.

Saturday I plan to do the swap, I was looking at pics, is it possible to drop the subframe only? leaving the steering rack attached/but unbolted and just push it forward towards the pan and then pull out the subframe?Leave a comment:

You can use wood and jack to push the engine up to change motor mounts, I am guessing as long as it doesn't sit for long, it will work. Increase the area across the oil pan for best results.Leave a comment:
