After I sheared 3 of my 6 driveshaft bolts, completely flattening the threads on them because the lock nuts I had re-used backed off, I will not re-use them. As I said before, a few bucks for peace of mind is worth it to me.

Bolts, nuts, and washers arent that expensive at a hardware store. its worth the new bolts in the end.

Exactly. I'm not sure why anyone here cares that he replaced his hardware. Worth it to YOU or not, it seems like it's not really worth complaining about when it's not your car.

Nylon locking nuts are technically one time use only. You can reuse them, but on something critical like the driveshaft, you are better off replacing them.

Metal locking nuts however I believe can be re-used over and over.

Got my headers on Wednesday, ebay Supersprint knockoffs. The PO had painted them black but never mounted them, so still new! Scuffed them up good with a Scotchbrite, and hit them with 4 coats of VHT FlameProof header paint, flat aluminum. They're just about dry, then I'll install the new TMS stud kit that came with them, and get them mounted up.

I give it 3 heat cycles.

                  Status: HG repair. 488wtq though!

I'm assuming he meant until the paint fails.

Before the paint starts to flake off or at least flatten out and no longer look that pretty.

I figured. The guy at Napa said he's had the headers on his Camaro painted with this same stuff for over 2 years, and it still looks great. He showed them to me in the parking lot. Not too worried about it. And it already has flattened out, it's flat aluminum silver. I don't care if they're glossy, I just didn't want them black.

And why can't you just say that in one post? You did this exact same shit when you commented about my engine bay stuff earlier in this thread. Why can't you just state, in one complete post, what you're going to say? Do you talk to people like that in person, too? I hope not, because it's really fucking annoying. You sound like this guy that I work(ed) with that just quit/got fired, and he talked like this ALL THE TIME, to all of us, including the owner of the company. No one could stand talking to him, customers used to complain about him all the time.

I used this same stuff on a swap I did. Scuff, paint/clear. Let sit for 24 hours and it burned off right at the flange and about 8 inches away from it. Every other place it stuck just fine. I wished it would of stayed better because it really did look great.

Meh, we'll see what happens. If it turns to shit, I'll pull them and have them ceramic coated later when I can afford it. Another $150-200 is too much to add to what I've already spent at this point. I just cannot stand this attitude and way of speaking that people like that have, irritates the ever-loving shit out of me.
