Jesus fuck, you really don't have room for a thicker rad... maybe try a shroud? Since it's only overheating at traffic speeds? Idk man, hope you figure it out.

Finished aligning all my pulleys, working on the shroud now. Maybe I'll have a pic for you by the end of this weekend.

replaced this CPS with an OEM m20 one and car pulls like twice as hard past 3krpms now. old one was plastic OEM is metal

I noticed when it was N/A it was incredibly flat like 3000rpms had the same power at 5000rpms, but I though maybe M30's just were like that, its way better now.

heres the old one.No logo or brand on it part number listed as pa66-gf30 which i guess just means " Polyamide 66 with 30 weigh percent glass fiber reinforcement" so there isnt even a part number on it.

I swear, there should be a sticky somewhere about aftermarket CPS's and why you should get rid of them as soon as possible!

        Glad you are making progress.

Have you looked into the Z3M radiator? A lot of the E36 M3 guys run it on track setups and have had great success as its a 3 row as opposed to a 2 row. 17112227281 is the part number

I had this saved from a long time ago,
looks like a member just used black duct tape on a track car to help seal the radiator gap.

maybe something like this but executed cleanly would help the cooling issue

                        Kamotors 325i Turbo build+M30 build

Lots of variables. With how big and bad you go. You could do a budget m30 turbo build for 2-3k tops. But I know I haven't even scrapped the surface of the turbo goodies and I'm in my m30 swap alone 1500 and I need another 4-5k to get my turbo setup.

I have near $4k into the M30 swap, M30 and trans was $500, rebuilding was around $1500 including parts and labor, clutch and turbo/wg was another $1800, then intercooler, piping, and misc parts was near $500.

Even the "budget" builds get pricey when you start reaching for higher hp. I would say that is true for any motor, not just the m30. Otis has the best example of a cheap high horsepower build but he also has the knowledge and fabrication skills to make it happen.

Any build requires a combination of any 2 of the following.

Yea cause for me 1300 for turbo 800 for mega squirt 5 for manifold another 3 to 4 for my intercooler 600 to flip the throttle body + probably another 1500 for misc shit I'll need like custom exhaust and such. Haven't even counted the m30 rebuild and porting of my head.
