535i rad is in, its a weird round tube radiator made by Hella/Behr. but it should work well.Removeing the frame brackets for the stock radiator is a HUGE pain with the engine installed. The hose inlet and outlet are MUCH larger than my E32 hoses so I had to order a new upper hose as my hose was cut short and couldnt stretch over to fit.

Tuesday is should be back on the road. I have close to 100miles on the motor so I may do a virtual dyno pull to get a base line, I'd say its somewhere around 330-350hp at 13psi but thats just the butt dyno.

I used e34 hose both top and bottom on my rad setup had to shorten both hoses about a inch. I really wanna see this thing shred a set of tires...

why dose everyone want to see tires get destroyed lol. Tires can cost a lot of money. Why do a massive burnout and " shred" them?

Its because burnouts are fun and cool to look at;)
The sound, the sight, the smell.

purpose of the car is for fun; so shredding a couple tires is always worth it.

^and you've seen my massive collection of destroyed tires, so a burnout is a must; its just how i use the E30 lol.

so got it to run cooler, still not ideal.
was going to be good but MS lost rpms signal before 4krpms.

should I move the CPS closer to the wheel?

Is the CPS new? Is it OEM or aftermarket?

Pretty sure its oem, looks new but its from the previous owner. The thing is the car runs fine past that rpm just tuner studio is loosing signal for the rpm gauge.

Have you been having the 4k issue the whole time?
Do you have a 10k resistor wired into the crank signal going into MS?
I know that is a common issue with early 24v which I believe use the same style (Hall or VR, can't remember off the top of my head) and will lead to high RPM signal break-up.

this was my first datalog with the m30 so i dont know. the car pulls past that rpm its just tunerstudio looses rpm signal at that rpm everytime.

cps is black like this, not sure if oem

The m50nv and m50tu should both be vr sensors; the m52 is a 5 volt powered hall type crank sensor

I adjusted the VR trim pots on mine to fix it. I tried the crank signal resistor as first but that didn't work.

Correct. The m20 and m42 etc also use the same as m50nv and tu, just with the mounting tab clocked to a different location.

Kam, it's hard to say with the plastic sensors, since some of the aftermarket ones are all plastic, the OEM ones have metal mounting tabs and a metal sleeve on the end of them.

Best way is to test resistance. You should see 580-ish ohms across two of the pins to the sensor. The m30 and m20 use the same ECU with a different chip in them, the crank sensors will also hold the same values.

Are you using the sensor that was in your m20, or did that go with your old motor?

Finally I am fairly certain the hall sensor would not even function at all without the 5v reference.

Check the pots first (easier) turn them counter clockwise 8 turns if you haven't touched them before, or until they stop turning.
If you still get signal drop try wiring in a 10k resistor in the signal.
                                What MS are you running?
