Different lighting, different camera. Really changes how the shade looks. One of those color you'd have to see in person I guess.

              Thank you.

You know the color divides opinion. Divides as in I like, and the rest of the world doesn't :D. There are still enough brilliantrots, cirrusblaus and alpineweiß E30s in the world. Looking at it I haven't had a "Oh god what 've I done" moment so I guess it's OK.

If I bolt on a part per day... How many parts are there to an E30?

No, I've got these, from a Miata:

14X6", center hole machined to E30 size. 4,7kg per corner. I'm curious to see it too, though I'm not in this for the looks. :)

Im all about function > form so Im curious to see the end result of all this work.

What are your target weight & power #s?

Less than 1000 kg with fluids and me at the wheel. Will probably not be achieved right now.
More than 150 hp at the flywheel. If the engine works, I should be able to exceed it clearly. All the parts for it are there.

By my estimates the car will also remain a bit nose heavy. That too, can be changed, given time. Right now I'm just concentrating on getting it on the road for a change, with any setup.

I quickly glanced through the thread, but Im curious why you used the 2002 M10 block and not a E30 block? Im pretty sure the E30 is lighter, though theres claims they arent as strong either. That couldve helped a little to shave weight off the front. Im also guessing the batery will be in the back? That would help the balance out

No claims. It's a fact that e30 m10 blocks are not as strong as the old m10 blocks. The e30 ones crack easily from the head bolt threads. Even in stock engines.

Rough measurement of cylinder wall thickness said the '66 block has a bit over millimeter more. Ofcourse it had 20 years worth of corrosion MORE than the E30 block when measured. Old block also is missing a couple waterway holes off the deck.

Pre '79 blocks are sought after items, in Finland atleast.

Battery will remain in engine bay due do cable weight. Moving it to the trunk would be 5-6 kilos of copper plus a significant amount of protection for the plus cable. Note that a longer main cable would alsohave to be thicker because of voltage loss (proportional to cable length)
