    Engine came out today....

I am 95% sure that the booster is going to have to go. I am going to go with a GM hydroboost setup.

Should swap the hood/grill section out for one with the sexy bulge from the early models like 75. :)

Engine and trans are sitting in the engine bay. It would not go in with the e12 steering components. I happen to have some e28 parts sitting around and they are the same distance from ball joint to ball joint but the tie rod connects at a slightly different location. But...the center track rod drops down and back a little bit so it allows the engine to go back and down a bit more.

The drivers side exhaust and brake parts are going to be CLOSE!! The manifold will have to face forward and loop around and out the passenger side. Hydrobooster is also going to be close. It looks like I should be able to offset it closer to the inner fender to gain some more room.

        A few pictures.

Yeah it should end up fairly level. It still needs to move around some. Gotta get the manifolds and a few other things in there before I make the mounts. I'll toss the intake on tomorrow to be able to see how things line up a little better.

With overnight parts from blunt, it will decimate all.

WOW... I love it... I am building a e30 turbo with all the fixings and something like this looks right up my alley for my DD. Looking forward to seeing it finished.

The parts made it overnight sure enough. pitman arms milled down today to fit the e28 steering components(what was over nighted yesterday)

Picked up the GM hydro boost and started laying it out. Waiting on exhaust manifolds before I can make the mounts.

Starting to see how it will fit.

I will start making a new bracket tomorrow...

Also got an AC compressor to make sure I will be able to clear the exhaust (as the drivers side has to come around to the passenger side. It's tight at first glance but it does clear...
I might be able to route it on the other side of the compressor.

Because this is a truck engine and I would like to use the accessories from the truck. I am going to move the alternator over to the passenger side up top. Just need to make a bracket.

Here you can see the beginning of the passenger side mount.
