That would be the easiest...or to just run the stock bar. But I am thinking it might make the rear a bit loose. Maybe not sure....I'm not very up on chassis dynamics.

Im not sure All I know is they are Spax. We just put them on Brandons e28 and they are low and firm. I like them, at least on the e28
Some have said they are too soft though..Comment

You will want a beefy sway bar in the rear for the LS power. Not sure on the options as I never mod the e28. But the whole point of the sway bars to to stiffen up the car for driving. With the V8 up front and all the power out back it would be a good idea.
Granted when I autocross I unhook my rear sway to make sure I don't get a wheel lifting when I corner hard. Road use you will not be doing hairpin turns and worrying about lifting. You will want the most control with that happy back end.
Poly sway bushings and a bigger sway front and rear would be a big help with this big car. Trust me, you WILL notice the sway being gone in the front...how do I know? My last e24 had blown out sway mount plates. Just kinda hung there. New rubber mounts and plates made a night and day change.
So trust from my knowledge and first hand experience with a heavy BMW and a heavy engine up front. It is VERY sloppy and handles like crap.~ Puch Cafe. ~ Do business? feedback ~ Check out my leather company ~

I did send Jake big sways for the car and he has them in the car. Just trying to figure out how he is going to mod the front bar to fit now. I did not see that, I just scrolled up and saw the posting. Sorry for the tech vomit
Good info for someone that reads it at some later date or whatever.

Man I missed a lot tonight....Wednesday is bowling night.
Yes Ls6 intake and stock TB (truck, ls1, ls6, all the same), cable driven
And yes GTO oil pan.
The sway bar is just about figured out. New mounts need to be tack welded and then when it is back on the ground I will make the end links.
Made the power steering/hydro boost lines, throttle cable, and shifter mech today after work. Just need to take the power steering lines back to be crimped down tomorrow.www.classicdaily.net

No problem All info is good info. Im excited Jake thinks it may be done in a week. He will likely drive it a while and then Ill fly out and pick it up. Im going to rip up the back roads all the way home. I took a really sweet route out there through wisconsin backroads and up through the U.P.. . Virtually no cars and 80-90 MPH all the way on blown shocks and cut springs and worn bushings. Should be quite a change with all new everything. Its really surprising how nicely the car drove. It wasnt perfect but it wasnt badComment

Jake - Can you talk more about the cluster? This is the part the confuses me the most regarding this swap. How are all the other gauges and sensors going to be interfaced to the cluster? The e12 uses a mechanical speedometer where the t56 trans does not. I was going back and forth of either getting a electric to mechanical speedo driver or converting to an electric speedo.
Going with the electric speedo....better accuracy...and a odo that can't stop working because of old gears.
VDO speedo and e12 speedo/ VDO speedo has already been pulled out of its housing and the glass has been removed.
Remove both needles of the gauges
The needle on the e12 happens to be the same size shaft as on the new electric vdo
I will scan both faces into the computer and edit the e12 face to match the swing on the new vdo gauge.
I know Blunt is at vintagefest in Chicago...wish I was there as well but other commitments wouldn't allow this year.1989 US E30 Cammed S52
