Update: second car runs after the oil pan swap. Need to find a pan for car one now. Also need to find a subframe. Now that I have two I think we will do some suspension work to the offroad car as we put it back together

Yes! and with the 4.10 limited slip I've never felt like I needed awd. It would just limit my front travel options

I tried finding one at the yard but they wanted $140, so I think I'm just going to weld it back and add some gussets to both mounts

That's what I did, I decided it was far faster to just weld then look for another that would break again

I did mine on the top for slightly more ground clearance.

I broke my subframe in the same exact place, guess it's an off-road thing. Oh, and AWD isn't as fun as you'd think

Have you reinforced you rear subframe mounts? That was not a fun fix

And ya i feel like the awd would just be more stuff to break.

Yea I ran some gussets when I did the eccentrics.

With the awd, biggest problem is the open front diff. It either wants to track through the corner or understeer, then the rear kicks out and you go to correct for it, then the front gets traction again and flicks you the other way. It's a constant battle when there's uneven traction unless you go balls out WRC status and keep all 4 spinning
