Look at the last set of pictures. On the engine bay picture, the top of the plenum (that says BMW M POWER, not the air filter intake). See those flat black spots? It should be wrinkled, but the old hood insulation wore those spots down.

It took a lot of effort to find a new washer tank as they went NLA, but I finally got my hands on one. Used washer tanks did not look good enough to put in my engine bay :)

how fast things change. Bought mine new via a BMW dealer/trademotion a year ago. You sure they're NLA or is it just the new BMW policy not to ship euro parts to the US?

The place I normally go to for quick accurate responses on availability, huskerparts, specify whether the part is nla or if its just a euro part that isnt available, and they said it was nla. As did my local dealer, as well as ecstuning.

To roll back to early in your thread -

I just removed an identical set of springs from an E30 M3.
A call to H&R with the part number comes up as Jeep Liberty - however, the springs I removed have a manufacture stamp of 1993... The H&R rep indicated that was "impossible" because they weren't made in 1993.

This leaves me with the belief - H&R has changed their product numbering at some point, and "old" numbers like these aren't being cataloged correctly anymore.

It's unlikely more than 1 E30 M3 would have Jeep Liberty springs installed, if they truly were Jeep springs.

One of my pet peeves is mislocated badges. Its really really common among E46 M3 CSL rep bootlids. Also can't believe you buy a OEM windshield. I was quoted some ludicrous amount at a dealership few years ago. Just went with PGW, but it's more than enough for my meager 325is

I have good news and I have bad news.

Good news, remanufactured steering rack and new tie rods + alignment are done. Bad news....The hood fell on the bar during the rack installation and now I have a dent in the otherwise flawless hood. :( Oh well, I need to have some other things repainted...so the hood will be redone as well.

Sounds like you need a new hood strut too...
