Of course the car wouldn't go the winter without changes :p Time to retire the original manifold and make long overdue improvements. Also swapped to a gtx3582r, sooo if anyone's interested in a gtx3576r let me know lol.Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

tensioner will never crack again. Thanks to the folks in Finland for the secret fix! Used a pulley from an older Toyota and a little machining to make an adapter problem solved.Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

Dodged a serious bullet here. I was going over the car and decided to check the timing belt tension since it was new, noticed the belt was rubbing on the covers. After some tips from the guys on Facebook they suggested the tensioner failure. Here's what I found, could of snapped at any moment.Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

The 235s definitely rubbed in certain circumstances, but honestly they were heavy and they tramlined like crazy. The 225s clear perfectly.
What offset you want will depend on the wheel.. generally, the wider the wheel the lower offset you need. The unfortunate thing is the ix has an odd bolt pattern coupled with a unique offset. The wheels that seem to be closest to fitting right are from the Miata crowd (which is what mine are).
