I'll have to upload some pics later, but here's the story.
I had the blue 750. I got tired of it. The M30 in the wagon was having oil pressure issues. So, one day in the middle of March I pulled the M30 from the wagon. A week or so later, after replacing seals on the M70, I laid it in the wagon. Had it running in short order. Decided I wanted to keep the 3.64LSD, so I popped a 420G from a M60 on he back of it. VAC ltw flywheel (stolen from the e30v8) and a custom driveshaft....handcrafted by moi. I installed the drivetrain Friday AM, the 19th. Drove it for the 1st time around the block at work, then we departed for Vintage around 4:30 or so. Drove flawlessly. It smokes a bit, but it got there and back. Once the clutch was done bedding in I could floor it. It's quick. 255/17s on the rear....I couldn't get it to burnout. It just goes. Straight 3"pipe all the way back to a Vibrant muffler with dual 3" tips. It's loud as FUCK, but dead quiet when cruising. It's a wonderful thing.1974.5 Jensen Healey : 2003 330i/5Comment

I'll supply the bowl.....
It's not terrible. The engine bay is larger than an e32 in cubic centimeters. The extra width is in the fenders and length in the core support. There are some minor differences that threw a wrench in the clockwork, but it wasn't bad at all. Hell, I did it in a month.
No, not even close. I have an adapter plate and a flywheel spacer. I actually had to clearance the bellhousing on the trans because the starter locations are THAT different. I'll post pics.1974.5 Jensen Healey : 2003 330i/5Comment

It's literally all stock from the 750iL. I mean, it all bolts in. I just had to adapt the harness and weld in the brackets for the air boxes, etc. The harness doesn't directly plug n play. I snipped the end off the 750 harness and installed a new end that plugged into the 525i body. I just changed the wire positions so they matched. The oil pressure, level, and O2 sensors don't run through the X20 on the 7, so they're wired into the body side...just like on the 7. The x21 is bascially all for the EML. It all bolts in. Even the throttle pedal sensor...there's a place in the e34 pedal box that it bolts into. The wires, again, all plug in. For the EML light....ITS ALL THERE on the e34. It was too easy.
So, on the left of the pic, you see where the starter relief is. I had to cut that shiny bit out with a sawzall and dremel it to clear. If the adapter was 30-35mm wide it would have fit perfectly.
I have a 1 off flywheel spacer so I can run a v8, VAC motorsports 15lb flywheel.1974.5 Jensen Healey : 2003 330i/5Comment
