Hartge h26 project.....the long road:) Oct 2014 begins:)
I'd coat the headers. The wrap imo looms tacky and cheap.
Yeh, the more I thought about it, I think I will just take the headers off and have them coated....hope they can be saved:)
Also I have an ix that I'm making a Hartge out of. To try to get Hartge skirts to work with the fender flair would be a pain. The oem ix skirts have indents in them so the flare can overlap the skirt. Also the hardware to install the ix styling is kinda expensive.
Yes, I was thinking there might be some problems. maybe front and back hartge and ix sides would be the way to go...I would like to see that on a car...would look good.

I wouldn't use the ix skirts without the flares. The skirts are the part that have the indent so it would look funky with the skirts by them selves.
Allow me to clarify what I meant
Ix flares + Hartge skirts = modify Hartge skirts and a pita
Full ix styling = nice look with Hartge but hardware costs a bit
Just the ix skirt = looks like crap I wouldn't do it
It was - originally.... but then I got convinced by Barron to do Hartge hahah. That particular car looks excellent. I'm just know I want side skirts of some kind, the car looks kind of naked without em
Uh oh, looks like we may have some similar goals in the looks department! I'm currently trying to figure which front apron I'd rather use as well. That Hartge though, cool vehicle.

I agree, when I put the side skirts on it transformed the look of the car. The rear valance really makes a big difference too. I am thinking the front spoiler will finish off the look!!

I might be wrong, but if you want a real hartge front it will be hard to find. I love the alpina look too. I built an e21 alpina a few years ago and it looked great. Alpina parts seem to be easier to find, but Raul could tell you more about that point.

I think.. I'm going to try and replicate my H26 badge via 3D printer. IF it turns out well - Im going to ask somebody here to borrow their Hartge badge (twin stripes) and replicate that as well :D
hah yeah... well i put on the wheels and "new (used)" rear shocks the other day. It rides 100x better now haha. My old shock was leaking and totally blown... can't believe I drove on it for 4 months. No more body roll :D
Those are 16", right? Car is very nice. Did you get any more hartge parts? I have a package coming in today from Europe:) and a part that needs to go on this next week to help out the engine bay looks, but right now we are packing to move so the hartge is full of parts and ready to go to it's new home:)
