        M60b40 powered Volvo 240

So I welded a jam nut on the back of the Volvos booster-pedal-connector(?) haha

Next I primed and painted it

I tossed it on and did a test for on the car

The distance between where the booster meet the firewall and the end of the connector was 5"

With it all the way threaded on it was the perfect length, but then the pedal wasn't able to travel properly, so I pulled it back out of the car and cut down the rod

Now to toss it in the car

        Mounts to the pedal perfectly

        And all bolted up.
Next I tried out the brake lines

I hate how tight this bend has to be.
So my plan is to get a couple grommets and run this brake line though the wheel well and pop it back in the bay towards to bottom, that would make the bend a lot less aggressive

I also welded the bolts to the shift plate

That got repainted black and is drying now.

        Next the clutch
I was unable to find the proper heim joint so I decided to try a different route

I had to drill out the ear off the pedal to fit the clevis pin

This way should still allow rotational movement as to prevent binding. Next I need to pull the clutch pedal bracket and drill a hole to allow the mounting bolt to fit with the pedal being higher and then I can lengthen the pedal and figure out the prefect location for that ear

Cant you put a hard 90* on the master and hook up the brake line to that?

            All dried

            Mounted

            All done.
All that is left for the shifter is to build a custom DSSR and I can't do that until the motor and trans are in

I have been thinking about that, it would be perfect, just trying to find one that is the correct flare seems to be a pain, most I find are bubble flare on one side and pipe the other

all 3 of my masters have 90 deg hard fittings right where it comes out of the master cylinders, and it seems to be fine....

Love it, doing something similar. Any updates? I'm curious how the engine sits with the motor mounts.

OP sold the project a couple years ago - i don't know where it ended up. hopefully, it went to someone who would finish it.
