I stand by my statement. Besides I think Jordan will have over 50k in this build including his time when he is done. That paint job alone was a huge dent in his wallet.
I don't want to clutter up his build thread with needless nonsense. Lets agree to accept each others opinion and move on.
Regardless, keep up the good work Jordan. How to remove, install or convert to pop out windows

The car will eventually be for sale and there’s no doubt about that but I have no immediate plans to offer it up. When the time comes 50k certainly won’t buy it as I’m in it near that much right now. I have a bunch of invoices next to my computer I have yet to enter into my spreadsheet but last I checked I was no more than two grand away from 50k away including my labor which I track at an arbitrary $50/hr rate.
If you were to have a restoration specialist attempt to re-create a car of this caliber it would cost you every bit of 80 to 100 grand to build it without a doubt. What something will cost privately commissioned versus on a open marketplace to a secondary buyer are definitely two different things but over time I believe the car will appreciate, the 91 318iS being the most highly sought after non-m E30 and the lowest production model.
The S14 I rebuilt and restored for Shareif was no bargain, I assure you with my labor loosely accounted for there are two digits before the comma on what it cost to build that engine. The important thing is he is very happy with what he received as am I. I’m always happy to do a little horse trading with a fellow enthusiast particularly between two specialists that accel at their craft to a degree that money can’t readily purchase.

Okay, that last statement about pricing is conjecture but theyre definitely the most coveted in stock/restored form. Obviously thats beside any alpina, hartge or any of the unicorn e30s
I'm using this as my reference. I'd love to know the proper numbers if these ones are wrong.
