Was this a new HVAC panel? ...was always somewhat curious whether the slight waviness on the top row of buttons was just how these panels came, or if this was just how they aged due to the way they are bolted up, heat, etc.

Nope, just a good used panel. New is NLA, and was like $400+ when it went NLA.

The wave is from the screws that hold the top to the dash, they all do it to some degree.

Man, I really like the look of that CM5908 and now regret not saving the really clean ones I've come across in junkyards over the years :( Wasn't there an OEM CD player available at some point as a dealer option, maybe in like the early 90s? Now that would be a nice piece to have. Figuring out a way to add an aux connection would be ideal, which I'm pretty sure people have done already.

Same here, got brand new OE Front / rear Pilkington glass from the dealer 2 years ago, love them so far. Only real difference I noticed is the new OE rear glass has a slightly different defroster pattern.

I'm trying to get the ball rolling on the interior but it seems that Stitched Wheels who has done all my prior cars is done done with auto stuff and everything else I'm finding doesn't look good... sigh.

If anyone knows a business I can order seat kits from with OE like fit and finish I'm all ears.
