wow, awesome work you do! Don't know how I missed the thread until now. So you're another member of the bronzit lover community - makes me happy (even though your current e30 isn't bronzit, it's what's on the inside that matters). That and your affinity for the e36. I daily an e36 too, wouldn't have it any other way.
Definitely can relate to your irritation asking "professionals" for advice on solving problems only to have to do it over later... that or following internet lore... my favorite to date has been the comment that e36 exhaust (any part) will bolt up the the 30 and fit
I like the continental radio very much. Wish I had gone that route in my e36 - I bet you just need an amp and it will sound great
Nice work on the e30 rear subframes, e36 double mount cover and TA reinforcements. I'll be using this as reference when I get around to doing mine all over again. You've done nearly exactly what I've planned to do for my own.
Didn't know there was such a thing as a class 1 tape measure either. I've made the same mistake. Just smashed and trashed a tape measure for the same reason
how was chromeo? I've been dying to see them live. Love their music and style
Thanks, Just cant stop till its right.
Still feels weird this car isn't Bronzit, but now I've taking a love for Lach's. I figure when this car is done, Who knows 5-10 years.. Ill have another OEM+ E30 in the stable.. Maybe bronzit then...
E36's are great!, I mean the hatch is what sold me, the fuel mileage of my E34 touring was killing me... I love my Ti, It slow so I don't get speeding tickets a whole bunch, gets 24-34 MPG, I can fit so much in it, Very fun to drive. Just hard to find that type of replacement. If only they had a light weight 1 or 2 series 3 door... in the US.. HA It has Cancer by the rear arches... But rest is fine. May get it fixed next year if I can work or some more quirks. I just don't see a replacement for it in the future, unless I have to care less and get something bigger, Kids and Crap.
I think I'm going to swap out the AKG diff bushings for the Rouge diff bushings when ever I go to their diff cover. The diff noise inside the car is LOUD.
Chromeo is great!, it was a DJ set from them so it was different, But seen them before years ago when the music was more.... E21.. E30... E36 like... Was good..

Gunk, all cleaned and they slide nice again, doesn' feel too tight.. Most days are an up stream battle, Most days you don't know or appreciate how well things are going.
We never expected to have the racecar beat up this quick, but you know the saying. If you don't want to bring it home in a bucket, don't take it to the track. And if you dont know, now you know.
And I hate mentally accepting that, In the end of the day, A race car can be is a tool to learn how to drive faster. And sometime there is a fine line between winning and crashing
And, And, hopefully we have the skill/ experience to keep it straighter for years to come.. I guess time will tell what the racing gods have in store.
When I put the car onto the armco on its first outing we were on Wintered/ heat cycled 205/50R15 , Just a few weeks ago I was at Road Atlanta on grippy 245/40R17 on My Ti about flat foot thru all the corners.
I didn't take the time to re-calibrate myself, but just assumed that this amazingly Fresh racecar obviously will have more traction..
