              ..

Thanks guys. I have been really busy and havent had much time to work on it, plus it has been way too hot.
I have to finish the interior and put in the a/c compressor, and the parts left from paint, and the first phase is done.

I didnt have much time today, but i had an oppertunity to chage the tie rod ends
Jack up the car, and take off the wheel

              New tierods

              Old tie rod

              Loosen the top bolt

Loosen the bolt in the back

You can use a hammer, or fork to loosen the tie rod from the strut housing. Mine was easy to take off because i just did the shocks.

Screw the new on in. Put it to about to where the old one was.

              Tighten the rear bolts

              Tighten the front one

These are all the tools you need

Tighten the wheel and you are done

              Now from other days

              I finished the rear deck.
I put in the seat belt holder

              Cut out the factory holes

              Put in the vents

              Finished

I put in the center console and speaker cover

I cleaned the inerior with Degreaser, carpet cleaner and tide. It did nothing. My friends are telling me to paint the carpet, that dealers do it all the time. What do you guys think?
              Before

              After

I got the license plate trim

Here are the lowered pics of the car, it still needs to be settled and i will lower a bit more

              Thats it until maybe tommorow...

Where did you get this blood:

The exact color I need for a set of wheels I have.

Was it roadkill? Thrown on before pictures for artistic flair? I must know.

                Great work.

                    ...

LOL, i dont really care much for the wheels. It is the brake quiet spray.

                      ...

Thanks for all your comments guys.

I fixed the a/c for the most part. I replaced the A/C compressor, messed up a little bit along the way. It cools to around 70 degrees, since it hasnt been used in so long I have to vaccum the system, and change the dryer. I will order the dryer today, and do the system vac today.

Look at the box it came in.

                      The new unit.

Get the car on jack stands

                      This is where it goes

Put the belt on the motor pulley

These are the only two bolts you need to put back

This is where i messed up

I tightend both of the bolts, You are supposed to leave them loose. When i tightend them there was too much stress on the tensionor. I striped the gears on the mechanisim.

You cant tell to well, but its stripped

My camera died in the middle, so i chared it and moved on.

                      Here is the compresor mounted

                      The gearing tension mechanisim

                      Run the lines

Tighten the lines, becareful as the compressor is alluminum, and so are the lines. Do not strip the threads

This is where you charge the system

                      Charging the system

The A/C temp at 70-75 degrees. It should work better once I am done.

As far as carpet painting goes, DO IT! Get SEM 'Color Coat' in whatever color fits best and have at it. I did my grey carpets and they look brand-fucking-new. Just spray on a coat, let dry, brush with stiff bristle brush to loosen. Repeat until desired color and finish is reached.
