And to criticizers of the KPH odo, not only is it euro spec, but it's to my personal spec that I think looks and operates the best. And that's really what matters most is what you think of your car.

So when taking apart my speedo, I can clearly see what went wrong. I tightened the tensioning screw a bit too tight and it made it too tight for the gears to spin smoothly, this caused the top, little gear to shred into pieces, and teeth on other gears to break. So here is a pic of the US gears.
And here are the newly installed Kilometers per Hour Gears.
Once installed and put back together, it fully works in Kilometers!
Also, might also note that a girl who's a friend of mine at my school is an excellent parallel parkerand scraped the edge of my rear euro bumper trim. She thought nobody saw and drove away because she wasn't a good enough parker to fit in the spot with her giant 2009 SUV every kid seems to inherit at the age of 16 in Newport Beach. Little did she know my friend was in his car right behind her and told me about it. I nailed her with the expenses however I went easy on her due to the fact that it's super awkward to ask somebody about it. The scrape really wasn't bad at all and wet-sanded out to perfection. All I asked her for was the $30 for the new mounting parts. And that's what I got.
Nothing really else to take pictures of. The trim just fits more snugly now and the old mounting bracket on the left side wasn't in the best shape but the other one was perfect, so I only ordered one. But Kronus, I finally got the correct hardware to secure the rear bumper end pieces. Thanks for the tip about hardware being there when I originally installed the rear bumper.
I have bought a b35 oil pan and pump that will be arriving in a week or so. The cold tank pile will have to wait, no use in paying for two separate batches. Anyways with the bottom end off, I've had it looked at and the estimated mileage on the bottom end is roughly 50,000. The top end has a none factory stamp, it says "RPS" on the edge of top of the head. I've never heard of this company and google hasn't brought any answers. I know the head has been rebuilt though, however if I could contact the people who rebuilt the head, I could actually find out what exactly they did, and how long ago. Pretty cool though, I've got a very nice engine to work with :)

Just do a carfax check on the VIN instead of guessing the mileage ;) It can look the same with 150k miles. You would have to inspect the bearings, so it's easier to run a carfax.
That's pretty cool that they still make the mounting kit, front kit is available as well?Mtech1 v8 build thread - https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/sho...d.php?t=413205

They have part numbers for each individual piece of hardware, and then a part number for the mounting kit which includes all hardware. Very handy.
Front mounting kit: 51 11 9 057 083
Rear mounting kit: 51 12 9 057 084
(rear doesn't include mounting brackets, as the front does)
Both are roughly $50 each.Last edited by Japandrew73; 09-20-2009, 08:32 PM.
